Trooper and I were tracking our cars together our dealer's are about 20 miles apart. We started production the same day and his completed production the day before mine 10/23. On Friday mine shipped and his is still waiting to ship and at 17 days 11/12 the same as mine.
Yesterday morning mine went to 18 days 11/13 and yesterday afternoon it went to 14 days 11/09. Our dealer's are about 20 miles apart. Crazy system!

Not sure but curious which train you are tracking. Which day did it leave and where is it now
I wasn't tracking a train. I got little info on that. I was able to find out that as of friday my car was south of Columbia SC and OFF the train. That's all I know. It's three hours from here so I hope it's arrived in the past 48.

Nope, most all car dealers are closed Sunday's[emoji6]
Delivery not receipt. ;) A birdie has told me deliveries can be made at any time. If the dealer is closed there's a key drop box. Hoping to take receipt of my delivery tomorrow! I'll find out late tonight when I cruise by to see if it's there.

Hmm... so they leave it on the street? Lol... most all dealers here have gated access unless there is someone hangin loose there to accept delivery... ive never seen that here on a Sunday... and if they were there, the truck is usually camped out to the next business day... I would hardly say that a security guy would sign for the car and if there was any damage to the shipment, someone has to inspect... normally the carrier is responsible for damages... someone has to sign for it

My dealership is off the highway in a small town in WNC. We're not exactly a high crime area haha. The night watchman is super nice though.

It's your reasoning that makes me think a delivery has to take place during business hours. But, I'm headed there to find out right now. Maybe I get to see her in person finally! If not, my dealer is going to find me very annoying tomorrow haha.

We get deliveries all the time during closing hours.
They call it night drop. No one is signing it since there's no dealer employee there. We have no security guards either.
In the morning when we get there if we see the new vehicles dropped off overnight or on a Sunday , we check them in and if any damage we notify Ford.

The carrier doesn't drop the car of in middle of street. They take it to the back of the lot and drop it/them there.

Exact same thing happened to one of out GTs
Awaiting Shipment
Transit.
Back to plant.
Awaiting shipment.
In transit.
Delivered.

In this case the vehicle went back for the 5.0 recall according to Ford.
Overall it added two extra weeks from original ETA to Actual Delivery Date.
