Okay...the other threads on this have been dormant for awhile. Anyone heard anything new on the Track Key recently? It was a sweet modification in my Boss 302...and the Ford Performance catalog of course still shows it as "Available in 2016" ...sooooooo?

Hopefully there will be an announcement closer to SEMA/PRI

On the Boss 302 there was a "track key" that was offered for purchase through FRPP that made some ECU tweaks

If I recall there was GT350 track key printed somewhere in Ford literature for coming down the line. I know FP is working on some aftermarket items for the 350 and this one has caused a commotion. Where its more than a typo or vaporware remains to be seen.

This would be great! So late October - early November. Sounds like this won't be available until Spring 2017 if it comes.

Will GT350s without factory coolers be able to purchase the "TracKey"? You know since we "don't have track cars"

Maybe we're in for a nice surprise and Ford will be releasing the cooler kits at the same time.

I can't wait, I wonder what it will give us.
I know guys who track the Boss and say the track key is night and day difference.

Not really night and day, but it did help. I think most of the perceptual difference is the throttle remapping, which is a big ho-hum in the grand scheme of things. But the lopey idle was nice.

Unfortunately when dealing with dealers to trade the car, the TracKey was a hinderance because the way it the Ford Racing warranty replaced the factory powertrain warranty when activated. It spooked some of them and would only wholesale the car if it were there. I'd expect there will probably be the same tomfoolery with these cars if the TracKey comes to fruition.

What's this about warranty? Please explain, at least a little!

The gist of it was that the Ford Racing Performance Parts 3yr/36k powertrain warranty provided with the tune replaced the standard Ford New Vehicle powertrain warranty which was 5yr/60k. So you lopped off two years of your warranty by having the TracKey activated.

See the bottom of this. https://performanceparts.ford.com/Warranty/Default.asp

If a new TracKey comes along, I doubt this will change.
