Track camber for a summer mustang question

Hey everyone,

2018 gt pp1 10r80 with steeda linear drag springs recently installed. Have stock pp1 front wheel with stock wheel size and rear is a VMS 17x10 with a nitto 555r2 on it.

I track the car once a year at the 1/4 mile 5-10 passes and drive around 4,000kms during the summer.

I am going to have an alignment done as I just had to springs put on, want to hit a couple passes at the 1/4 and plan to drive it on a small road trip back home (1,600kms) at the start of october.

For a summer car that I like to hit the 1/4 mile with am I good to have the camber set to zero all around? Or should I do something different?

Hey Airborne5.0,

Since you only hit the track once a year, I'd recommend sticking to a street alignment.

From the Factory, all S550's have a negative Camber, by design. Depending on the package equipped ( or if you got enough aftermarket parts 😊) you'd go withthe smaller or bigger figure.

Below I've attached the Alignment specs we set cars up here in our shop for street use.
The Track and Drag specs are starting points, adjust as needed. And as mentioned, not meant for Street.




Street Use :

Front Camber
-.72 Deg Both sides (non PP and non Handling Packs)
-1.03 DEG Both sides (PP and Handling Packs)

Rear Camber -1.5 Both sides
Total toe rear is .23, so .115 per side.



This is drag race only.

Front camber -0.75 degrees, must be even on both sides.

Caster +7.0 (+/- .25 degrees), must be even on both sides.

Front toe +0.01 per side, total toe +0.02. This toe in.

Rear camber -0.5 degrees (+/- .25 degrees), must be even on both sides.

Rear toe +0.12 degree, must be even on both sides. This toe in.




Track use:

Typical track/autocross alignment settings(not street use);

Front camber -2.7 to -3.0 degrees on both sides

Caster +7.0 degrees on both sides

Front toe +0.01 degrees per side total toe of +0.02 degrees, this is toe in

Rear camber -1.6 to -1.7 degrees on both sides

Rear toe +0.12 degrees per side, total toe of +0.24 degrees, this is toe

You want a decent amount for sure.

I have -2.5 in front and -1.5 in the rear. Should have gone for 2 in the rear. No crazy tramlining (on275s) or tire wear.

For a PP1 Vehicle this should be my stock alignment correct?

Should I take my rear drag pack wheels off and put the stocks on for the alignment?
