Snake: Tom hit the nail on the head but, based on the results so far, it looks like the poll is dead even which means there are people who think the models are inappropriate so it would appear that my hypothesis was incorrect.

Probably just as well, I don't think I'll be frequenting this IP address much in the future.

So I attended the GT500 Track Attack last week and this is something that each and everyone who gets a GT500 must attend. I have not had that much fun in a single in my lifetime. From the facilities to the instructors it was absolutely incredible. We drove in from Indy on Tuesday and it of course was pouring rain, so I figured we would not get to run on the dragstrip, but only the road course. Well, we woke up the next morning to a Velocity Blue sky and dry pavement everywhere. My only complaint for the day was the heat and humidity, but truthfully I was so into the whole experience, I really did not notice except for the fact that by the end of the day my race suit and clothes underneath were soaking wet. There were 12 people there that day which made for more runs down the strip. In total, I bet I made 11 passes on the dragstrip. I am not a big dragstrip guy, but learning to use the launch control was great. Foot to the floor and take off and don't let up until you cross the line. WOW.. My favorite part of the day was the road course in the afternoon. We were divided into two group of 6 and then 3 groups of two with a lead instructor which you followed on the track. I am an Indy car guy so have never been on a banked track and let me tell you 24* is crazy. The first run is for the instructor to get a feel of what you can do and how well you follow instructions. The guy that I was team with was great. Our instructor kept telling us do what I say and we will go faster. We listened very well. The track layout is great. There are two chicanes you enter after coming off of the banking and the speed we hit on one was 131 at which point I was thinking there is no way I am going to make this without running into the instructor in front of me, but no the brakes on this beast are incredible. When they tell you to get on the brakes, do it. The control you have over the car in awesome. Anyway, I could go on and on, but you guys will experience it soon and if you are trying to decide whether to do it or not, pick doing it you will not be disappointed. The best part was driving their cars and they tell you to run the hell out of them. Mine had 267 miles on it. Lastly, get the RaceKeeper for $179 as it records your day for you with some awesome vids. I will post as soon as I figure out how to export from my keeper. Enjoy some pics. The Brembo trophy at graduation is very cool.

@ND4SPD , glad you made it and weather went well! It is a great day at the track, That chicane coming off of the high Bank at 130 makes you pucker up running behind that instructor! Lol
Agree with you, it’s a must do if you bought this car.

WE ARE READY!

KB,
You guys will have a blast. Not sure how the other instructors were on the road course, but if you can by chance hook up with Andy for the road course driving do it. He is awesome. The thing I liked about him was he kept saying follow my lines, hit the apexes and we will go FASTER. And he really meant it. Enjoy the day. Cheers.

Marc: Thanks for the good words and I/we will keep an eye out for Andy. But see, now you've gone and told Jaime and Jeff about the guy to get so I may have to fight 'em both. <chuckling>

And I DO hope I hear, "GO FASTER!" But in the end, as long as I don't hurt anyone and, I don't total one of their cars, I think it will be complete success even if I'm not The Ace of the Base. <grin>

TWO MORE DAYS!
