TPMS question

Just bought new wheels/tires with TPMS and TPMS tool...everything bolted up great...the TPMS seems to have found the tires without using the TPMS tool...does it take a while or am I all set and should return the TPMS tool to AM?

Most of the time they auto sync (nearly always) but not always. The tool will help if yours don’t sync on their own. Usually takes like 100-200 miles before the error shows up if they aren’t connecting properly

I would keep the tool if you already have it.

Took the aftermarket wheels off for the winter, and when I put them back on they would no longer sync up.

Umm. I meant you should sell that useless tool. Cheap. To me.

eBay/cheap TPMS sensors are hit or miss. Sometimes they'll work sometimes they wont. 50/50 chance.

Bought my set of 4 with tool from these guys last year - genuine Ford OEM. I paid $83 last year, but $97 still looks like a good deal. Didn't need the tool, but figured good to have as I kept my old wheels and tires intact in case I swap them back and they don't auto sync.
