No. You’re not supposed to travel in reverse anyway. .

I was backing up in deep snow (snow tires on) and I thought I was going to get stuck. I had to drive it like an open wheel.

Is still a locking differential based on wheel resistance.

As far as I know a Torsen unit will transfer torque to the slipping wheel regardless of its driven direction, same goes for standard cone/clutch type.
