If I recall correctly, it was the little add-on unit that tested so well, wasn't it? Not an actual wrench?

Of course, since the OP in this thread is in Australia, it may be a moot point.

And the magazine test. http://www.hotrod.com/how-to/additional-how-to/ccrp-1304-torque-wrench-testing/
Yes it was. The only down side to it is it makes the socket/torque adapter/ratchet taller which may in some circumstances not fit in the space available. On the plus side the price of the unit does not have to absorb the cost of the ratchet handle which allows for either a higher quality device or a lower cost at the same quality.

And yet when tested monthly over a 6 month period of time it maintained it's accuracy and repeatability better than all the others tested.
Clearly a fluke! I and many people i know have only gotten a few good uses out of harbor freight torque wrenches.

Following the 2015 manual, I noticed the subwoofer speaker cover bolts have a torque rating of 2.4NM (1.77 ft. lbs or 21 in. lbs). Normally i'd just tighten the smaller bolts up hand tight but as someone mentioned above, everything has a torque rating and i'd rather not over tighten bolts if I can help it. My current torque wrench is rated from 2 ft. lbs. I was thinking about a digital wrench that can measure in lbs as well. Any suggestions on a wrench for the smaller stuff?

honestly stuff like that isnt a big deal, not related to anything mechanical or anything critical. Every bolt has to officially have a torque spec but some bolts are way more or less important than others.
