Help me with my dilemma !

While I have already put in an order for the GT Fastback, part of me wants to wait for the Convertible.
What to do what to do !!! I know if I go with the Convertible , it would be so painful to watch them unload the Fastback I just ordered and see it and be so tempted to take it! :eyebulge:
But then again, come March when weather is nice and Convertibles are starting to hit the showrooms Id kick myself in the ass for not waiting few months longer!
Also very torn between the colors! Guard or Magnetic!?

Go with the vert if that's what you really want (it sounds like). You will have this car for years, what's a few more months?

Oh and Guard :headbang:

Do what I'm doing. I wanted to order now, but have come to realize I'm going to have to see them all in the flesh. Wait.

I don't care at all for 'verts and I think this 'vert kills the whole fastback throwback that makes this model so special. I vote take the fastback.....but that's just my opinion.

You can't go wrong with either color.... As for the style, I would be 50/50 too since I like both my coupe and convertible.

I would never buy a convertible over a fastback for a performance car. Get the fastback it looks way better too. Convertibles lose all the physical traits that make the car look unique.

I say Guard because it is more unique. There are already a million grey and dark grey cars on the road. Why not shake it up a little? (no disrespect to those who love magnetic and ingot)

Wait for the Convertible. All cars look better with out the roof, but that's just my opinion. Don't kick your self in the spring and wait, or you can be a baller and get the fastback until convertible comes out and trade it in. Own both? Magnetic and Guard look very similar to me. I'm sure it'll be a good color for you either way.

Wait for the convertible. All sports cars should be topless. That what I'm doing. I've had many race cars and hot rods over the years. Now that I'm old(er) I can compromise some performance over unlimited headroom :)

The simple fact that you have so much doubt means that you probably should just wait for the convertible. "Haste makes waste..."

^^ +1. This is what I am doing. When I ordered my 08 GT premium AND my 14 grand Cherokee I wished I would have waited cause there were other colors and interior combos I liked much better in person. I am SOOOO tempted to order now but I really want to see this thing in person.

The convertible does not intrigue me at all. For me, it would really come down to how much it hurt the performance. I would like to have a convertible but it would not be a GT. To me the GT should be as light as possible. You would be sacrificing MPG with the GT, paying the bigger price of the GT and still not getting the performance of a GT. At least I assume so. Everyone has their reasoning, logical or not. This is just mine.

I am no convertible fan, but if you are and thats what you want I say wait. Don't let availability cloud your judgement. If it were the other way around and the vert came out first, I would definitely wait for my preference. I had an 03 cobra convertible that I bought a few years ago, I bought it because it was almost what I wanted. I regretted the decision because I didn't like the vert so I sold it after owning it for two years and only putting 1800 miles on it. Get what you want or you'll be sorry. Plus if you like a vert it will be ready just in time for the sunshine next year!
