Hi guys, I have a 2021 mustang convertible and when putting the top up it stops about two inches from the windshield frame and won’t go any farther. Any help would be appreciated.
My top (2021) needs to be pulled down an inch, maybe a half inch to get the latch to engage. Cold days make it worse. My old 85 with a vinyl roof was a nightmare in cold weather. It just wouldn't stretch out. On occasion I'd have to let it sit in the sun for a bit to get it closed.
I don't have a lot of experience with the fabric roofs, but I see you're in Minnesota. If it's really cold that may be the problem. Perhaps the dealer can make an adjustment to help out a bit.
Yes, it sure is. As long as you can pull it closed to operate the latch, you're good. Believe me, it used to be a lot worse with vinyl convertible tops.
That never happened with my 2015... and I'd drop the top anytime it was not raining and between 60 and 90 degrees. I would get it checked out like kingstone suggested.
2 inches normal ? not for me!!! 2021... don't hesitate run to see your dealer. This car is still under waranty. My 2016 completly sit where is it supposed to and I used it many times. Do have to use my hand to close the gap.
