BBC anti-American Bias

If you watch any British show that might have anything to do with the U.S. you will find either a sneer or a deep bias against America. We are usually depicted as being uneducated, ugly American rich, or bigoted, and these days the 'bad guys' in place of the Russians (killing any one who gets in our way), etc.
Even BBC America cable news always seems to interject some anti-American twist to the news. Not much different from Russian news.

They didn't seem to mention that the '67 broke down during filming...

The new cars are much more refined. I can drive it all day and not be sore. I can drive in the heavy rain, no sweat.

i love the way old cars look - and that's about it. Sure they feel fast but it was because you felt like you might die. Though I think with my gears, stabs of the throttle make my 5.0 GT feel pretty damn quick.

I've pretty much given up on any major car magazine or show being a trustworthy source of information since they have sponsorship and ad revenue to worry about.
I have found that not to be the case. When I dragged new Mustangs bone stock, my times were extremely close to what Car & Driver ran (the other 2 mags always ran a bit slower back then, but that is not the case today)

Matt Farah is pretty much the only guy I really enjoy watching because he drives and reviews cars from a normal perspective.
Funny, he is the only person's reviews I won't watch.

Yup.

The GT is so quiet and smooth that it doesn't feel fast. 100 mph comes up before you even think you are speeding. Even with a catback. I think that says a lot positive about the car. If you really think a '67 Mustang is preferable to the current GT, then you need to be careful about praising the next BMW you test.
