Yesterday they let me know that they're replacing the compressor instead. It is supposed to be done by 6PM. So, hopefully today I get my baby back as good as new.

Has anyone else had any major issues upon delivery?

My mind boggles at the idea of using air conditioning at the end of November. That must be miserable.

Either way it needed to be fixed, but it was 74F in a Magnetic Gray/Ebony interior. With the windows down I was okay, but it wasn't pleasant :)

In the olden days...this was nothing new.

Helps with defogging windows and was said to charge the refrigerant. Not sure if the refrigerant stories were true but was something I did as a preventative measure.

Not nearly as miserable as snow or having the word windchill spoken on the morning weather report.

So, I picked her up tonight. As far as the A/C it works fine now, no issues. I didn't really need it today, but at least it's not blowing hot air :) By the weekend I'll need it again when we get back to the 70s.

They tinted the windows while they had her for the warranty work, changed the tires air our for Nitrogen, and add the clear door protector film along the edge. Overall, I'm happy with the car and glad to have her back.

(I'd still be interested if my issue was a fluke or if others had similar issues).

Thanks for the update. Given that the entire compressor went bad and was replaced, I'm guessing it was closer to a fluke than something that will be common. Only because the compressor is a very high volume, well known item, and I'd be very surprised if something was introduced to the 2015 that would cause a significant number of failures.

Hopefully (for the rest of us) you just got unlucky!

I completely agree, this shouldn't be a new part and was likely just a bad part I was "lucky" enough to get! I'll update the thread if anything else pops up.

Except you'd still need that compressor for defogging your windows ;)

But, I'm also not a cold-weather person. :D

Yup. A couple of days ago mine took about 10 minutes to start blowing cold air. I tried it again later in the day...same thing. Back to the shop with it!

I lived in Nashville for 10 years and that is mostly true. Though usually when it gets cold it stays cold. Dallas has much bigger swings then I experience in Nashville - for instance 30 in the morning and 60/70s in the day.

I'll just say that overall I hate cold weather - and Nashville was too cold for me (I know, I know).
