Depends on how much you want to spend on your car. Aftermarket stuff is better than the PP but it is usually more expensive. If you're modding then get a base and go from there. If not then the PP is a great option.

I will add this... When I bought the car, I fully intended to keep it stock and be my DD so the PP package seemed like a no brainer. It has since been modded quite a bit and it is no longer my DD. Would I still have done the PP if I knew I was going to mod it heavily? The answer is absolutely. Forget the sway bars or springs or whatever else. The radiator, Torsen, and Brembos are worth the price of admission alone.

I went non-PP base manual. But this was because I wanted the absolute cheapest V8 Mustang possible, and cared for nothing else at the time. That, and I hated the PP wheels.

Buuuuuut my scenario is very, very rare. For most people, going PP is the best route. And even in my case, there are times I wonder if it would have been smarter to come up with the extra cash. Would be nice to have better suspension parts and those 3.73 gears, if nothing else. Get the PP unless you have a strong, overriding reason not to.

If you don't want an automatic, get the Perf Package.

It has better components when you drive it off the lot, so you can start enjoying the improved experience immediately. Even if you replace a few things here and there, it's still worth it - and if you never do, you have a better performing vehicle that was zero hassle.

I also happen to like the wheels and dash treatment better than the non-PP cars, so there was no downside for me, even the slightly higher price is trivial when you consider the % price difference.

lol, you live in Herndon, if it's ever going to snow enough that it matters, DC and the entire area will be shut down anyway.

GTPP or nothing else.

Show your wife this poll and see if your decision is made for you... My guess is this poll means no pole play for you.

Base+PP are solid option, adding springs later on was a solid upgrade as well, especially for a PP car. Add tires later and cradle bushings or lockouts and its a track performer.
