The heat from driving fast for extended periods of time wears out the tire as if you have been driving for a long time. Is there a formula or website where I can figure out at what speeds how long I could drive before a tire is worn out?
Hope I explained it.

I know what you're asking, but I don't actually think that there's anyone who's created a chart or calculation that would easily tell you the answer to that. There are a few random examples (like, for instance, I've heard that the tires on the Bugatti Veyron will last 30 minutes at full speed), but I don't know that anyone has a formula for it at hand.

It would, of course, vary by tire, since every rubber compound is different.

If it helps the tire in question is Michelin PS2 and then let's say driven at 120 mph for how long?

I think there's way too many variables... You could go that fast for a really long time on an interstate but lapping Willow Springs will wear them down much faster...

So I changed the oil, looked over and saw that I was in desperate need of an alignment, this was what both fronts looked like. When it was put on the rack though it was not that far off they said, still within spec, they said. I know that road racing can make this happen real easy but I have never even had Betty on a track of any kind. Just a daily driver and I cant even find someone willing to run it. Anybody else having an issue like this. The tech that was doing the alignment seemed to have some issues with the machine. I used to do alignments and have never seen anything like this before unless the car was way out of alignment. The only thing I can think of is me having a performance pack car and they are looking at non performance pack car specs. These tires had about 20k on them and I'm just at a loss, anybody have any ideas? :headbonk:
