When I replace the stock 235/50/18 tires, I'm wondering if I should go with that size again, or try something like 245/45/18s. The diameter for those would be about 0.6 inches less (about a 2% speedo error). I think 255/45/18s could physically fit, but most sources advise against going that wide on an 8" wheel. Or, I could go 245/50/18, but that's going to have a lot of sidewall height, which is the automotive fashion equivalent of wearing high-water pants. I'm looking to maintaining a decent ride, so I'm not really interested in going down to a 40 or 35 aspect ratio. Tips?
