How aggressive of a tire are you looking for?

The MT S/S will be a soft compound tire and about as good as you can ask for out of a 19" tire.

With that being said, I would highly recommend getting a set of drag wheels/tires for play and go with NT555R2 for the 19s. The lifespan is better albeit they are not "as sticky" as the SS. The rain driving control is improved on the 555R2 as well.

Let us know if we can help out.

Taller the better. Eg instead of 305/35/19 go with 305/40/19 or similar, just make sure it’ll fit in the wheel well. A taller tire of equal width to a shorter one should yield slightly more traction due to longer contact patch and less torque multiplication.

I second recommending a set of drag wheels, but with that set up I'd personally go with a set of Michelin Cup 2Rs if you plan to just putz around town and go to the strip every once in a while. They provide a ton of grip and can last for 7-10k miles. If its more of a drag and weekend car then go with a set of r888 Rs. The r888s are great but they don't last long. If you're going to be driving in the rain I would go with Michelin Pilot Sport 4s. You'd have some traction issues but you could drive in the rain :like:

I'm using the NT555 RIIs as well although I'm only 660rwhp. That being said; unless you are on a prepped surface (ie: a track) you can blow the tires off just about anything if you don't have throttle discipline. Once you start getting over 500hp there isn't any "I WIN BUTTON" (that I am aware of) that lets you stand on it (from a dig) while driving down main street in your town.
