Then they weren't OEM. OEM one's are self learning.Mine wouldn't calibrate without it...
The other 2 will probably eventually show a fault. Retrain all 4.......i replaced all 4 but only front have problem.
The OEM TPMS sensors still need to be trained to the vehicle so that the Body Control Module (BCM) knows the ID of each sensor. Even if you swap wheels and tires with another set of factory wheels and tires, the system will not "self learn" the new sensors. They need to be trained using the proper training tool and procedure. Then they weren't OEM. OEM one's are self learning.
B.S. I've never had to use a tool anytime I've installed new sensors on new wheels. They just synced up by themselves. The OEM TPMS sensors still need to be trained to the vehicle so that the Body Control Module (BCM) knows the ID of each sensor. Just because they didn't set a TPMS light doesn't mean that the system is working properly.B.S. I've never had to use a tool anytime I've installed new sensors on new wheels. They just synced up by themselves.
I have a Ford Fiesta rental while my car is in the shop and the TPMS light went on, filled up the tire to 32 cold per the door sticker, and it won't go off. I'm worred Hertz is going to "find something to charge me for"... I wish TMPS sensors never were invented.
Exactly! That's because people don't check tires or pressures..... How many times do we see people with 1/2 flat tires A LOT. It's very sad to see how people treat there car or truck. Then call it piece of junk when it breaks when most of it can be prevented
