Tire Choices

Hey guys! I'd like some help here. I'm looking for the widest tire setup I can get for the 20" Project 6GR wheels from N4SM. I do plan on lowering the car and am debating air bags or not. So I'd like a tire setup that take's that into account and won't rub if I go air bags. I'm looking for a tire that has great life as well. I don't really race the car much so I don't need a racing tire or anything like that. I had Nitto Motivo's on my last car so I'm considering that tire since it's got great tire life and is a great price. The Nitto Invo is also calling my name though. Anyone got any other suggestions?

Max tire size will depend on if you got the staggered 10/11" wide wheels or the square 10" wheels.

I'll let N4SM chime in to recommend tire widths.

For tires, look into the Michellin MPSS or the new MP4S, mine look like they'll last as long as 25k miles based on current wear. They cost more than budget tires, but they've got better than average grip and life.

I went with the 20x10 and 20x11 staggered sizes. A 315 won't rub? Will any of those sizes cause my speedo to be off? I would rather not have to get a tune to correct the speedo

Your speedo would be off a tad but no issues to really cause concern, I know I developed those wheels.

That being said you can do a 315 on the car lowered you will just need to re adjust the rear camber to -2 thats all.

Aslong as your alignment is done right it wont cause much of a issue, a lot of members do that setup.

I believe 3-4 mph max

Tell me the exact model Stang you have and ill cross reference factor OD to aftermarket and suggest the size for you.

Hey Brother,
I would recommend the 275/35, 315/35 set up for your Mustang.
This set up will have a overall diameter of 27.6" on the front and 28.7" on the rear. This will affect the speedo a bit but not by much. at 60mph you would actuality be doing 62.4mph
We have ran this set up hundreds of time. You should not have any issues with fitment.
Not too many other options that will keep the overall diameter the same front to rear.
Go with this set up, you will not regret it.

It pokes, and if you are lowered you need to adjust your camber specs.
