Tinted or auto dimming side view mirrors?

Very sorry to be reviving old threat anyone.
My 2019 Bullitt has BLIS, so adjusting my mirrors to way outside, despite being the proper way, isn't really as necessary, plus I like to see the rear quarter panels.

Wife got a used 2017 F150 Platinum, which has a self dimming rearview, as well as the driver side mirror, which is the best thing ever (arguably for exactly the trucks like her, taller non-lifted with LED headlights).
It makes my morning commute rough now as side keeps blinding me with lifted trucks with improperly aimed headlights or straight LED bulbs in improper reflectors, etc.

Now that my rearview mirror dimming is spotty, my morning commute is getting back.

Long story short - seems nobody has come across a solution to this yet? I'd need one with BLIS, memory, heated, power.

I guess I could've done me a nice google, but I suppose helps that someone had a link ready. I'm sure I will read up on it within the product listing, but hoping it works well with heated mirrors and handles frost okay.
OH is starting to get cold, just had our first frost this am I think.

Instead of automatically dimming, it would be even better if the mirror could tilt automaticaly to reflect the light into the moron's eyes.

Actually, I do this when I get someone with brights behind me (which now lately has been a damned epidemic of that), but I think they don't go as far out. I mean I guess depends on how far they are...

You can't provide that suggestion without listing along your address to which I can forward invoices for speeding.

I'm thinking I'm gonna get that kit though. $30 is fairly steep, but if it works out, it'll be priceless.

Thanks for your post. However, with heated and BLIS, at $180 for that set, I think I'll go with the custom-cut $30 set from the Etsy guy first.

Maybe just put some window tint FM on the mirror. I have ahas auto dim mirrors forever and will probably just put some film on them if it's annoying. The new LED lights are super annoying even with auto dim so I simply adjust the mirrors which are rendant with blis anyway.

Newer LED headlights do cause lot of glare, especially from stupidly lifted trucks. But to say side mirrors are redundant if you have BLIS is just silly.

Sounds like your main problem is that your side view mirrors are facing rearwards.

Thats not the right way to point them BLIS or not. Nonbody with correctly angled side view mirrors is here complaining about lifted trucks blinding them from behind.

Been throigh this with drivers from time to time but seeing your own car in your side mirrors is useless angle side mirrors out until you can’t see your own car when leaning towards the mirror a bit. Problem solved. Total cost - $0

I tried multiple angles and all of them shine an uncomfortable amount of bright light back into my eyes not only from lifted truckboiz with improperly aimed headlights.
Not always is the vehicle that's blinding you directly behind you as you suggest. Sometimes they're a lane over, which is exactly where properly aimed sideview mirrors are aimed at. So short of just tilting them down to a point they're useless, I am still seeking an improvement.

I get a kick out of some contributors here that must come to each forum and they make suggestions that basically boil down to "if you weren't an idiot" or "just do it right."
My guy, I obviously tried multiple angles and even the "proper" one is still bothering me. Clearly I ain't the only one and I'd argue most people here attempted their own solution before commenting on a forum, dontcha think??

Regardless, I'll probably be getting that $30 kit, a relief for sensitive eyes will be worth the shot. I'll report back here for those that are interested.

So you ARE one of the people that does that kind of commenting? Doesn't really contribute much does it...
Or maybe you're thinking "oh well, it doesn't happen to me, so everyone else's issue is non-relevant or non-existent."

I am genuinely curious - what do you suggest I do when I get blinded by having it slightly inwards/rearwards-pointing and I get blinded from other lanes (on a highway or multilane city street) even if they're aimed slightly out?
I still need to retain the use of my sideviews. And law of reflection also means that if my mirrors are pointed down/away from the source of the blinding light (headlights), I also don't see the actual vehicle.

I hope you see how that's an issue. But maybe you're just trolling.

But when one of them comes up on my flanks it most certainly can be very distracting. I might just order those covers as well if you think they work well enough for the $30.00

Sounds like a plan. I'm actually dropping off the Bullitt today at a dealer for couple of warranty things I want buttoned up (hit 30k miles already), but the guy that makes the kits is responsive and sent me a test pages to print, cut out and try them out. So as soon as I try them out I'll let you know, but it depends on how soon I get it back.

Actually, attaching them now, you can try them yourself. I'm sure he doesn't care and normally provides these to all interested customers. Yours is same year, mirrors should be identical (unless you have the little convex in the upper outer corners).
