My noise came back as well. Looking at suspension components now. Neither wheel bearing gives when i yank on the tire. I even put a bar under the tire for more leverage and no movement. I've checked for loose bolts and cannot find anything. I'm not sure what to do next.
The noise is not a clicking ,but more of a clunk. Can be heard just driving down the road when touching the throttle on and off. Maybe 60 mph in 4th so there is more force being put to the rear.
A high pitched ā€˜clink’ or ā€˜ping’ could be the bearing. (Or a grinding noise, or a difficult to control fishtail when accelerating but not doing anything too crazy)

A clunk is usually a swaybar endlink or some other suspension pivot

But that said, if you’ve never replaced your hubs at 100k, they are most certainly shot. Juat replacing the thrust washers or torqing a axle nut will not fix it if its coming from the hub itself, which is the most likely scenario. IMHO having the thrust washers helps longevity, but its not a cure when you’re developing noises

I’ve replaced 4 or 5 rear hubs in less miles than you’ve got. FWIW the newer hub parts seem to hold up better than the 2015 parts which rarely seemed to make it half as far as you’ve gone!

On my car I’d notice the pings and clinks when accelerating and decelerating, but usually in 1st or 2nd (probably road noise and driving windows up masks it better in higher gears.

Sometimes (unfortunately) you just need to try replacing a part to know for sure if that was the part with the issue.

The noises usually develop before the physical instability, but getting the wobble aint fun, it can be pretty sketchy, so best to address it before you get that far.

But with 110k miles, while hubs are extremely suspect, theres no great way to know for sure, because lots of stuff could be clunking at that mileage.

I had already replaced the passenger side hub bearing when i bought the car at 100k miles. There was noticeable play in the wheel. Driver side seamed fine so i didnt change it. But absolutely no play.
