Has anyone tried a port and polish on the stock throttle body yet?

I'm able to get my hands on a stock TB and I'm going to try it.

I know it's a big thing in the LS world, just wondering if anyone has tried it yet on the existing Mustang platform yet.

The stock throttle body isnt a restriction in power. I doubt gaining a fraction of a mm in diameter will make any sizable or noticeable gains.

The stock IM is 82 mm inlet, so you won't gain much, if anything going to a larger throttle body.

Stock manifold is 83.5mm wide. Stock boss manifold is 83.74mm. Stock tb is 78mm in the back, the rear can only be ported out to 82mm before it affects the sides of the tb horn where the shaft runs through, front can be venture ported up too 86mm but still have to go down to 82mm where the shaft is. 2-5 hp peak gains, but people see how to 15-20 tq in the curve in gains when you have a fbo car and its tuned proporly, however weather ported or aftermarket they are prone to failure.

I "cleaned" mine up a bit when I had some spare time. Not sure it did much, but I didn't like the ridge before the blade . I have no idle issues and taking apart the TB is pretty easy.

The best part of a ported throttle body or a larger aftermarket throttle body is increased throttle response
