Curious where the inlet tube goes & where the filter is located. Looked on their website and it's different than one on this post. On the website, the filter is located located where most are. On the pic in this post, the inlet is heading downwards somewhere. For $399, I'll take the flexibility of the Steeda CAI.

If you notice that's a pre 2015 mustang.

Naw, didn't notice...hard to tell just from the pic. Still would like to see when the piping goes. If the air filter is away from the engine bay heat & is located in a path of colder air, the results will be better.

Yeah from the looks of the pic it's positioned right behind the air intake in the front gril. I would like to see some real world data.

Digging up an old thread here has anyone actually put this on a car yet? I see krahooligan has one on order but still a few days at least before he will have any answers. Just looking for IATs and possibly what people are finding untuned or tuned in terms of acceleration and sound (gotta love that CAI sound...)

I played with one this weekend, It was one my friend had given me since he went supercharged. I only had it on a short time. About a hour or two. It really was just a quick test and drive around. But the IAT were only 4 or 5 degrees above outside temp. I didn't have a tune for it so I can only go by a non tuned car and didn't like it. Didn't feel like it made it any faster or add more power. If it added 5 to 10 to the wheels you not really going to feel that. It also sounded like it was gasping for air at part throttle. Kind of had a whistle to it too. I really think a tune would have helped more. But I ended up putting the Stock air box back on.

i get inlet air temps two to three degrees above ambient with stock airbox. did it feel like the throttle response improved? car would have to adapt to it over time iot to feel any real changes...
