Hey all,

So I've got the GT, with Eibach Pro and a 20" staggered wheels setup (265/295). I have aligned it to just about factory spec too.

Near my home, the freeway is pretty nasty with big, long dips (from prior quake fixes etc). In some spots the dips are uneven left to right and off camber). I notice that the suspension seems more twitchy/sensitive, front to back, when going over some of this. It's a bit unnerving but not omg dangerous.

Anybody else experience differences that weren't there, say, prior to going lower, wider tires, etc? I def notice a lot less float than before, which could mean that the cushy factory setup masked lots.

Thanks guys in advance!!

That's pretty normal with lowering and wider tires for just about any car. Mine is almost 2" lower than factory with 12" wide 315 tires out back and 255s up front. It would wreck itself if you're not consistently making corrections when driving through crappy roads.

Hey Kevin08,

Thanks man! I'm glad it's not just me!! Yeah, on occasion I had the two finger lazy wheel going and hit one of them and was like crap, wheel jerked, lol!!

Thanks again for the reply; this community is a wealth of information and good for my car OCD in general :)

that's 20's and wide tire life. it's gonna grip and pull whatever it can. over time though you won't even notice it anymore.

I care about infotainment
It also doesn't help that most modern cars are ditching hydraulic steering. The electric steering just making everything a bit more vague and more difficult to make those micro-corrections needed on bumpier roads.

Thanks everyone! Yep, every suspension change seems to magnify everything, from bumps, dips, to grip, pull ... But damn its so worth the look alone!!

Maybe you should try Steeda's bumpsteer kit to help with the jerkiness.

Could be tramlining.

Figure it doesnt even have to be grip that is causing it but just higher pressure/leverage acting upon a tire.

My 95 Cobra does it bad with 275 wide tires up front.

Correcting for bumpsteering on the car can help but only so much.

lowering a car even a inch changes the ride dynamics enough that you will notice it.
