I ran the car hard on a stock motor. As you can see in my sig the trap speeds show 3 different power levels. In the back of my mind I was always worried about it letting go from OPG or a cracked CG.
650/520 on 10psi
725/550 on 13psi
785/590 on 15psi
Those were all done on the stock internals for the car from TB to oil pan
A lot of people told me I didn't need the gears. I had people I trust explicitly tell me don't do them so they sat in my room. I then thought who would pay for the motor if they did fail...I'm not saying their wrong for their suggestions but my car is sponsored by me so I'm responsible for it.
After a few 7600/7800 rpm pulls I'd say you'd be hurting your powerband if you didn't get them done. The confidence to rev that high and the new found power is worth it.
Collin at Racing Integration in Tampa did a great job. My brisk 12ys plugs had went bad and he isolated the issue within an hour to that and the car is running even better than before. Collin made some suggestions and I listened and we went back to NGK which the car is loving. Peace of mind is hard to find with installs and performance vehicles. The gears help bring it to us running these high rpm/big power stock motor setups.
