In the past I have made the mistake of buying different brands of cars for variety. I wish I hadn't sold my Mustang.
Buying 2 VW's was my biggest car mistake.

Bask in the glory, peasant!
3 piss-ant monitors instead of a >48" curved? No proper gaming chair, no joystick and throttle quadrant, no desk-mounted steering wheel and so forth.

Keyboard jockies with flippin' corded mice... Do your keys even click? Or is it just membrane mush?

Seems I needed to have put in a smiley or two. šŸ˜

ps. jeezus when did we get 500 emoji options?

Next thing you're gonna say is that Intel still makes a competitive processor.
I got higher clock-speed with Intel, bitches. And my maff has all kinds of errors in it so I can tele-warp farther than you people with AMD chips. Plus I got built-in rootkit 'service processors' on eth0.

Curved monitors are gimmicky bullshit.
I don't game on a PC, that's for ~*~tehgayz~*~, but, I've always preferred, multiple smaller displays, I like being able to arrange them, maybe go portrait on one, open a space so I'm not in monitor_solitary_confinement ...

Plus if I'm running VM (or three), sometimes I like to go fullscreen on a single display for a single OS - just find multiple displays way more flexible.

Next thing you're gonna say is that Intel still makes a competitive processor.
Recently picked up a new M1 (ARM/ASi) based MBA for the wife, the power-to-performance ratio is insane, she's been running it like 3 days/charge.

Anyway, back to talking about crepes ...

I like all kinds of cars (Subarus and Toyotas being the exception here) but just happen to own a couple of Ford's right now.

My next car purchase probably won't be a Ford, not because there is anything wrong with them, rather I'll want to try something else.

In my younger years I was more brand loyal but saying brand x is better than all other brands is about as rediculous as arguing over video game consoles.
Ohh please donā€™t get me wrong, I love cars. Lots of them, definitely not all.
I have had many different brands. Chevy, SAAB, Honda, Mazda, Ford.. lifted lowered and even had a bagged and body dropped S10 some weird things too, have you ever seen an Isuzu vehi-cross? Had one of those :cwl:
Brand loyal ehh, maybe if you consider Mustang a ā€œbrandā€ but also I believe Ford is Fords biggest enemy.. me personally Iā€™m rather nervous to see the S650 as I feel like Ford will Eff this up..
My first car was an 89 LX with that terd 4 banger in it, but thatā€™s probably to blame for the Mustang obsession.

So I was just building a Miata on Mazda's website........

Wow, there ain't many options with Mazda!!!
If they would offer a 450hp V8 i would buy one in a beat heart. I love the small size, but come on lets slap a real engine in them. Or at least a 320hp V6.

You didnā€™t learn from the first one? They seem like nice cars until you figure out maintenance is as much as a BMW, plus all the notorious electrical issues that never seem to get resolved.

I for one love the hell out of my Mustang, could I have gotten something fancier, faster or more practical ..... absolutely.
Damnnnnn, if I could have gotten a nicer or faster car, I would have. lol Practical, I don't care about. It's not my daily driver, it's my awesome sunny day cruiser.
I LOVE my car, but I would have really loved a Porsche GT3! šŸ„°

Iā€™d love a Porsche GT3 too! However if I had that money I would also have a couple GT350s in the garage next to her.

Wait, doesn't the GT350 have fake sound from the speakers?
Nope.... your GT has the fake sound via the Sound Tube... the Shelbys have a mechanism that allows the speakers to dampen the harmonics to subdue the drone of certain frequencies through the stereo system... itā€™s not fake, just muffled to reduce

Most of the issues I had were actually mechanical in nature along with a side of fraud. I had a 2010 Tiguan and a 2011 Jetta Sportwagen Diesel.

Tiguan issues: The TSI motor had a notorious issue with their timing chain tensioners. The car was on a CPO warranty and I managed to complain enough about the ticking and clattering that I got it fixed under warranty. It also had a pano roof that the drains clogged on and soaked the floor of the vehicle. Ended up selling it after only 2 years of ownership.

Jetta TDI issues: Bought this one new, and the pano roof failed about 2 months out of warranty. This required essentially everything from the waist up in the interior to be removed. Finally we also had the Diesel gate issue. Prior to that news coming out I'd ordered my truck from the ford dealership as they didn't have one configured the exact way I wanted it. It took about 2 months it to get built and take delivery. I did not work out a trade-in deal on the Jetta Sportwagen as I was going to sell it privately and they were as easy to sell as a Subaru or prius here in the pacific NW. The week before I took delivery of the F150 the Diesel gate story broke. Values of those TDI's plummeted and I ended up taking a bath and selling the car for thousands less.

In retrospect I should be declined the settlement (which was 1/2 if you sold the car) and sued VW on my own. Long story short, they lost a customer for life.
