So the green filter from my ST doesn't fit the MAP intake. Was wondering since I had one sitting in the Shelf. It's definitely not a 3", due liked the open cone end though.

The JLT in the CJPP vid was also running the BOV vented to atmosphere, whereas the MAP vids have all been reconnected to the inlet pipe. Wish Bill had hooked the BOV back up so we could have heard how it sounds. You also get different harmonics due to the different materials used to make the inlet pipes. While the JLT cai kits are nice, they don't completely seal off the filter from the engine bay. This allows much warmer air to be pulled in, and raise the IAT, especially at slow speeds or stopped. With the filter isolated in the inner fender, it reduces the chance of pulling in warm engine bay air significantly, which reduces the IAT.

I had a JLT on my '13 V6, and it was a nice piece. Car actually picked up a few hp going from the AiRaid to the JLT. Only guess I have for the gain was the straighter air path into the intake, or maybe a slightly cleaner MAF signal.

True, but with our wimpy stock IC, even a few degrees is helpful...lol. I need to bite the bullet and order the FFTec EcoCore IC so I can get it in before my track rental in a few weeks. It's either that or say F it and order the MAP O/R down pipe instead. I'm all for supporting our active vendors on here...they are going to make my bank account unhappy though..lol.

Yeah, I'm probably going to do an FMIC before a DP -- however, I realistically have no route in which I'm going to go baha. Trying to get some stuff paid off before I dive into the mods much more..

After I move though... and get a certain credit card paid off... the modding will happen.

LOL...Sounds like me. I'm kind of waffling on ordering more parts because I really don't know which direction I'm going yet. IC will definitely happen, especially before the warm weather settles back in once spring rolls in. Going to call Torrie today and get a tune for sure, especially since I finally got all the crap 87 run out of the tank.

Mine came in last night around 7pm and was on the car by 8:30 .

Pipe is beautiful....definitely worth the $$. I watched my IAT, and it never got more than 4-5 deg above ambient. I'll really test it on my drive to work this evening...always some stop/go traffic. It was a little bit of a pain to install compared to some of the others, but worth it in the end. Intake sound is awesome and turbo spoolup is much more evident. BOV makes a nice satisfying whoosh when it dumps. It's nice to actually hear some mechanical noises for a change. Performance does feel a bit stronger, but it was damp/misting out on my test drive, so traction control was pretty active. I also noticed torque management was VERY active and kept reeling the car back in. That in itself told me the car is making much better power/torque than before. SCT X4 tuner is inbound as well, and going to hook up with Torrie once it gets here to Unleash the beast.

I also have an IC upgrade in the works....time to uncork this car even more once it gets built and installed.
