doesnt the JLT cai that has a heat shield make the same noise?Great video showing why we mounted our intake to the fender and not to the engine.
Thank you for the videos, sounds great! Seems like you enjoy it!

The JLT in the CJPP vid was also running the BOV vented to atmosphere, whereas the MAP vids have all been reconnected to the inlet pipe. Wish Bill had hooked the BOV back up so we could have heard how it sounds. You also get different harmonics due to the different materials used to make the inlet pipes. While the JLT cai kits are nice, they don't completely seal off the filter from the engine bay. This allows much warmer air to be pulled in, and raise the IAT, especially at slow speeds or stopped. With the filter isolated in the inner fender, it reduces the chance of pulling in warm engine bay air significantly, which reduces the IAT.sounds just as good as the intakes that go to the fender

Eh... JLT's kits are extremely nice. I don't think a few degrees really matters when it's all being thrown into much hotter, already compressed air lolThe JLT in the CJPP vid was also running the BOV vented to atmosphere, whereas the MAP vids have all been reconnected to the inlet pipe. I had a JLT on my '13 V6, and it was a nice piece. Car actually picked up a few hp going from the AiRaid to the JLT. Only guess I have for the gain was the straighter air path into the intake, or maybe a slightly cleaner MAF signal.Eh... JLT's kits are extremely nice. I will be honest -- I was going to buy a JLT kit. However, I'm liking how much other vendors are involved here -- FFTEC, WMS, MAP, etc. I'd much rather support them.![]()
Nice...what did that set you back, if you don't mind me asking. Levels is here in FL, so that may give me a more local option. You can shoot it to me in a PM if you don't want open info.I just received my new FMIC from Levels yesterday. I'm gonna order a dp soon too, but I've been waiting on the weather to break. There's no point in stockpiling lol.
