third brake light misaligned? or rear window?

Anyone else has this light tilted? i cant tell if is the he actual light or the rear window?

Rear window is sitting crooked. Fairly common issue, several threads about it.

lol it's the window. There is a thread for it somewhere in the issues section. It's a lot more difficult to repair than one would think because it requires fixing the alignment of body panels and I'm pretty sure someone said their dealer was going to have to trim the panels to get it straight.

Yeah -- I think I stood behind every Mustang on the lot at my dealership, and I think EVERY car was like that. I just made my peace with it and ordered the car anyway -- because it's badass anyway. I've checked all of my panels, and I'm really very happy with all of my panel gaps and alignment -- I'll have to look at my window again, but I don't think it's as bad as some I've seen. Mine was built between 5/8 and 5/10, so not like some of the issues seen last year with the first cars.

Surprisingly enough my car was made in October 2014, and I haven't noticed any issues with the panel alignments or anything like that. I also noticed my car wasn't built on a Monday or Friday either

Mine is the same. Mine was made on February 15th. But the glass looks strait. My dad's v6's rear glass is badly misaligned. But didn't notice the light being crooked. Mite be strait because the glass is misaligned.

Well shit...i guess i could live with it since my car is spotless (other than that)....and im damn sure i wont bring it to stealership to mess up the pannels....

AFAIK, I'm the first to take a leap of faith. Several have followed suit with equal successful results. Only one guy I know still had his crooked after his dealer took his car apart.

It's your window, my car is at the dealership now getting the rear window replaced.

Essentially what happens is that the sealant is applied by a machine at the plant and for some reason it's lighter on the drivers side then it is on the passenger side, causing it to look lower on the drivers side. If you go in and bitch at the dealersship, they will take pictures of the issue and email it to ford for approval. If you're lucky like me, they will approve and send in a new window to be replaced. I'm supposed to get my car back tomorrow. I'll let you know if it's any better.

The more i read, the more i get pissed off about it, becouse if is a sealant problem...then i DEFNTLY need to have it fixed, now i remeber sensing a bit of a funky smell in my trunk the other day ... Have you guys herd of water filtrates to the trunk and other areas due to this issue?

That is why I had to fix mine...f@ck that shit.

Negative on the funky smell, I was told too on my research prior to jumping on fix if future leaks can occur, more so than if I didn't have it done.

I just had mine replaced last week. Ford almost denied it because they had the service guy compare other vehicles mine and they also had the same issue and that would have been enough to deny it. Stupid i know

I don't think build dates matter on this issue. There are a lot of bad ones out there. When I went in to get the pictures taken at the dealership, I looked on their lot and it was 50/50 on good vs bad. They had a 50th Anniversary Limited Edition on their show room floor which was way worse than mine and I thought mine was terrible. Some poor soul will buy it and probably not notice it.
