I have a 2022 EcoBoost Premium Convertible and have been searching through forums/threads trying to determine which dash cam to purchase and settled on the Thinkware U1000 with the rear camera. Based on what I've learned, I'm planning to mount the rear camera on the front window facing backward.

Someone mentioned issues mounting the U1000 dash cam when the car has the Safe & Smart (S&S) package which has the box with electronics behind the mirror, I think because the normal position would be centered and that forces it down further in the window. But they didn't have it, so had just mentioned it needing to be considered.

I was hoping someone with S&S could advise how they positioned, why and if that is still what they would recommend? e.g. centered in the window, on the driver or passenger side of the S&S box.

Also, which fuses they used.

I've tried searching and it may be my search criteria, but haven't found exactly what I need so apologies if that information is already posted elsewhere. If so, if you could share that link, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks everyone for the read and your help!

Have you checked out Blendmount? I don’t know if they offer a solution for your car options but it’s worth a look

No. I had not heard of them. I'll check them out. Thanks for the suggestion.
