My 4.7 was my first go at the 0-60.
Stock springs.
Tractor tyres.
2 burds in the motor at the time.

Gibbo205 I know you are really excited about Magneride... But have you driven a car with Magneride? Or even more specifically, a Mustang with Magneride?

I have just driven a GT350 with Magneride and I am here to tell you... you should be excited! It has confirmed my decision to trade in for a MY18 (assuming Australia gets the option). What an amazing suspension setup. Rides so well even on the horrific Detroit roads. I didn't have the opportunity to push it too hard, however from what I did experience I would not be surprised if it sits as flat as my GT on coilovers.

Yes also a GT 350, mate owns one in Florida, and a US guy in the forces here took me out in his for a quick trip.

The GT 350 magneride, which is what MY18 is getting is one of the best adjustable dampening systems I have experienced. Driven the whole Porsche and BMW range, Porsche has PASM and BMW EDC. The magneride on the 350 I felt was superior which really is big praise.

But in short magneride gives you pretty much coilover handling abilities on track at the press of a button, but then a soft subtle ride on the street at a press of a button.

Its a fantastic system as it gives soft without feeling like a boat, but firm without feeling like you have no springs.

An absolute must have! :)

Not that it effects me as going auto.

But there is rumours the MY18 manual with its clutch/gearbox upgrades shall also feature:
- No lift shift techology as seen in the Ford Power Packs
- Rev match / blip on downshifts if enabled in driver assist (not confirmed)

Some nice tweaks to the manual should you wish to use them as can be disabled. :)

If i'm not mistaken from the product videos, the MT has had a pretty severe overhaul in the clutch/flywheel department?

Yes its a twin disc clutch now, various other upgrades to the MT82 as well, in theory it will be lighter (clutch pedal) but with more feel (steeda clutch spring) and smoother.

S550.1 was an unfinished car, they sold them all to us and then watched us all with our modifications.

Ford had us lot do their R&D. :ford::lol::lol:

Also the other rumour is the chassis bracing Ford mentioned to improve chassis dynamics, is actually a lot of the rubber bushing/bearings in the rear replaced with spherical items, which is what many here have also done to get rid of the rear float/bounce.

Like I say, the after market has done their R&D. It just means an MY18 with PP/mag ride should be a very capable car out the box handling wise with all the upgrades Ford has done, of course the PS4s tyres will help a shit load too.

Gibbos handling thread vol 2.0 - S550.2

Roush have already made a front bumper for MY18, not seen yet, shall be unveiled soon.

MY18 Handling mods I suspect will go as:
- Option mag ride
- Fit CB005

ENJOY! :D

Something tells me it won't need much at all if owners spec the mag ride, in short see what GT 350 owners do and well do the same and I can tell you they don't do much. Some fit the uprated DSC controller, CB005 and thats about it.

Only thing I might do on top is lower it if it sits a touch too high, but the PP cars in press photos seems to sit nice, but probably taken at angles to do so.

Yeah stance maybe a bit differing. As i think UK and US cars sit at slightly differing heights (But i maybe chatting shit having not seen unmolested ones side by side)

If it is as simple as those mods, then a lot of suspension companies maybe having some issues.
