Number three isn't true. The base models still have dedicated switches to adjust steering weight and traction nets/driving modes. Base models don't have access to track modes even with PP though. You just use the traction control button to adjust the modes (single tap, double tap, hold).

Can you explain what the single, double and hold do?

Single hold... turns off normal traction control... And double hold disable advanced traction control

I just found this a couple seconds ago. Goes into more details:

For the advance track/traction control 3 modes.

1. Press the traction control button once at anytime while the car is on to disable traction control but it will leave advance track on.

2. Press the brake pedal down while stopped, and double tap the traction control button to put the car into sport mode. Sport mode leaves both services on, but dumbs them down to let you play but not get out of control.

3. Press the brake pedal down, then hold down the traction control button until you see advance track off (7-10 seconds). That will kill both the traction control and the advance track for tire spinning, donut goodness. No nannies are on here, so you are entirely on your own. **Use at your own risk**

I wouldn't mess with turning off traction control after seeing that one guys flipped mustang from apparantly hitting a patch of grass while speeding with it off.

Maybe if you're driving on ill-equipped rubber in the northern regions (like the two of you are located). I haven't had a single white knuckle moment driving without the traction aids. Dat ass is planted.

I only shut them off for doing snownuts. I used to have to shut them off to get unstuck from snow banks, but with winter tires I've been able to get out with them on (which amazes me; snow tires are AWESOME).

when i still had my summers on a few weeks ago, i had to shut it off so i can get out of not even half an inch of slush. the car stalled twice w/ the nannies on.

Yeah, I've always had to shut them off in the snow in every car I've ever had, until I got winter tires. I'd always heard that winter tires were better in snow, but I never really realize just how much better they are.

Didn't realize this was possible. I thought leather only came on the premium model.
You and me both man, which is why I thought it was a premium model.

I had the same modes in my 2011 GT and drove with advancetrac off every day. Never had a problem.

I'm still confused. SO, the base V6 does have the modes, only it doesn't have the toggle switches to turn them on, you have to tap dance and fart?
