The so called first shipment

I placed a deposit on my mustang 4 March after being told orders in by 6 March would be guaranteed "first shipment" and delivery nov dec 2015. That then became January February 2016 but I was told again in writing still "first shipment".
Well Ford Oz has never rung me and although I contacted them numerous times, I have never been able to get a build date out of them. Well today after chasing down my dealer he tells me that my build date is Feb 2016 which means May/ June 2016 and still no vin .....just promises.
Totally devastated right now.
Has anyone on a pre 6 March "first shipment" deposit been pushed out this far?

Wow that sounds so wrong... do you have a vin number? or nsc? feb seems like a long way away to know a build date already

I have got sweet f a from Ford. No vin or nsc .....just a stock number which I believe is useless.
Last time I spoke to ford oz they just kept saying they had notified everyone who had a build date .....and I wasn't one of them.....BUT they would notify me when I did have a build date. :headbonk:

Yeah same position as you. Ordered on the 4th, told Nov then Feb, now no idea. I have an NSC from the dealer.

I have a stock code (4 character alphanumeric). R??? Is this the NSC.

Somewhat comforting that I am not the only one.....but totally bewildered why guys with later order dates are getting cars earlier:(

We are in the same situation . I ordered feb/2015 from bayford coburg Victoria .. They did gave me nsc code but no vin , I've email ford on face book they told me my car won't be build until February 2016 which means mid 2016 delivery so about 15 month wait for me , I'm currently chasing ford au for explanation because when I look around 99% of feb/March ordered car with VIN and nov/dec build date .. 15 month wait is crazy and unacceptable for feb ordered car

One possible reason I suspicious is the dealer may stole my order because I know the guy from bayford I been deal with keep telling me lies when chasing for an answer

Yes, as far as I know... NSC and stock code is the same thing, someone please chime in If this is incorrect.

another question regarding that.... is the NSC vehicle specific? or is it like a batch number? multiple vehicles will have the same NSC?

I'm sure I read on these forums somewhere that the NSC can be used by your dealer to get an approximate build date... build week etc.

I have tried looking for the post again but have not been able to find it.

Its possible this info was incorrect and has since been removed.

They are too busy with other complaints most of the time they just ignore us

You can't get build date with NSC , VIN is most important , with NSC code all they can tell me is sometimes in February 2016 my car will be built

Knowing which month is better than nothing.

and to my previous question, if the NSC can indicate build month, does that mean batches of cars will have the same NSC? or are they different for each individual car?

Dec build sounds better feb is nightmare . BTW my NSC is SB65 ordered 28/02/2015 my dealer still Maintain it is first batch even with mid 2016 delivery

Of course Dec build is better than Feb, but some updated idea of a realistic build date is better than nothing too!
