Yep I would definitely go 285/35 front. I'll stay with 305/35 rear next time I need tires though, no issues with the 305's back there on my current setup.
Reason I'm leaning to a 295/35 rear is my car is a non pp with 3.15 gear. So I fear increasing stock 27" rear diameter for possible loss of performance...if I had 3.55 would be different.
But if I go supercharged later I will definitely increase it ;)

Force applied to the ground is engine torque (420 ft-lbs @ 4600 rpm) x transmission gear ratio (let's use whatever gear your 1:1 ratio is) x axle ratio (3.15) all divided by the tire radius in feet.

The radius of a 295/35-19 tire is 1.1308 feet, and the radius of a 305/35-19 tire is 1.1425 feet.

Therefore in your car when you're in the 1:1 gear, the force applied to the ground at max torque with a 295/35 rear would be about 1,170 lbs, and with a 305/35 rear it would be 1,158 lbs.

Working backwards, moving up from 295/35 rears to 305/35 rears is the same as losing about 4 ft-lbs of peak torque. It would probably be hard to notice the power difference, if you prefer the larger tire size. The loss should calculate out to be about the same regardless of what transmission gear ratio you choose to use.

Cant find any 285/305 tire combo on tirerack. What tires are you planning in those sizes?

For 285/295, ECS are a nice(and pretty affordable)tire combo.

Thanks buddy. Nope no camber plates, the pics are with stock PP1 struts and shocks with J&M springs... which as you know I have now replaced!

This will probably be a one-post build thread...

Shortly after I bought my 2018 PP1, Ford announced the PP2. I immediately fell in love with the look of the PP2 and always wished my timing had been better. About a month ago I test drove one with intentions to buy, but couldn't get a deal that made financial sense. And with the mods done to my PP1, there wasn't a noticeable performance difference on the street.

So I changed strategies and began searching for the front splitter, rear spoiler, and wheels to make my car look like a PP2. I didn't want aftermarket parts, and finding used OEM parts is extremely hard. Forget new ones, Ford charges a fortune ($1,200 for the rear spoiler?? Really??). The best deal I could find on trading my 2018 on a 2020 PP2 would have put me about $14K more into debt... the total cost of installing the PP2 wheels, spoiler and splitter came to $686.60 after selling my old wheels and spoiler.

But the search was a success, and here's the result! A HUGE thank you to @50Mustang , @W1cK3dSiK , and @Champracerj , whose cars were organ donors for my patient.

Now don't hate me, real PP2 owners...as they say, imitation is the most sincere form of flattery!

Before...

And after...

What's to hate we both got what we want .........well done!!!

Hey Mike. Like the looks of your car.

I’ve got the 10.5/11 matte black PP2 wheels coming this week to put onto my a Ruby Red 2015 PP1. I’ve lowered it with Eibach Proline springs and am using their wheel spacers as well.

I wanted to change up the wheels and was thinking that I’d put on the bigger wheels so that I could do away with the spacers. I guess like you I kind of like the look of the 35s rather than the 30s, but I’ve been on the net and hear all the comments that they might have a problem and am concerned that they won’t fit. I know you and another fellow on the forum who did the same and you guys haven’t had any issues, right?

I can’t locate any 305/35R19s, so I’m thinking of a 275/35 f and 295/35 setup. I’ll never go on the track either and with the smaller tires I was thinking I could go with either the Michelin ps4 or maybe the continental extreme contact.

Anyone have an opinion on the optional AS tires for just street use in Phoenix Az?

The PP2 wheels look fantastic... I think they are the best OEM wheel out there.
If they would fit on mine, I would buy a set in a minute.

Why do you think they won't ? They literally fit on any Mustang.

Thanks! Yes actually I had some rubbing issues in the front with 295/35’s when I had 7/8” front drop springs. Changed to GT350 springs from a 2016 non-Magneride car which lower it 3/8” and much better with no rubbing.

There is a guy in the Pittsburgh thread in the Mid Atlantic regional section that is selling a pair of new 305/35 Nittos that you could probably get for $400 plus shipping.
