The sadness of demoding

As I took my mods off today from my 15 GT, I had a moment. I am one of those silly Detroit born and bred people that believe a car has a spirit or a soul.

This car was bought during a very trying time in my life. I was separated from my wife and having a very hard time coping with that. Me and my son worked on the car, mod by mod. He learned how to wrench and drive a stick with this car. It was a great distraction.

Tomorrow we will say goodbye to one and hello to another. I will be picking up a 18' A10 GT Oxford White with black package. 3.55 axle and 301a with Sync 3 and some other options.

Here's to a new chapter, and a new owner that will care for my 15' as much as I did. The 18' will get detailed and ceramic coated Sat.

Sad as it maybe Brother you still have those fond memories and you taught your son a lot, as you say time to move on life is to short ! I'm sure the new owner will treat it with respect, after all it is a Mustang. Congrats on the 18 purchase great choice in colour.

I've owned my 56 and 67 for 20ish years..restored the 67 in the garage with my dad.. my wife was involved in picking out colors / wheels for my 56...have pictures of my kids as soon as they could stand with the cars...cars can definitely be like family

The car may be gone but, the memories with your son will always be with you. You will enjoy the '18 I'm sure. The A10 is a hoot to drive.

I am going to be honest, the second I got to see the 18' in person today (had only seen it on line prior) it was like falling in love at first sight.

We are having some record rain and flooding here so I did not get to have too much fun today, but this thing is a rocket.

Put my weathertechs in and trunk mat, Steeda hood struts and tossed a K&N panel in the air box for the moment.

May have my Corsa Xtreme up for sale. I love the factory exhaust. May just add a resonator delete H pipe and call it done till I do LTH.
