chrome was ruined for me when the guy down the road put 24" on his 2009. Cut the bumper a bit I think just to get them to fit....smh.
I'm too used to them from my current Mustang to go with anything else:

Black wheels on the white car look awful. I can't wait till I find the right replacement wheels for my car. In any light other than heavy overcast the wheels simple disappear as black holes in the wheel house on a white car. Your eyes can't see any detail in the black while looking at the white bright light white.

I weighed my today the fronts were 60.4 pounds and the rears were 64 pounds.

I am 62 and my dark gray Mustang had black wheels and I loved them but not on white.

Not a fan of the Black Wheels at all. Stuck though because of PP.

So...improvise, overcome and adapt. Here's my plan...

1. Burn off the rear wheels and grind off the fronts of the Perillis that come stock. That shouldn't take very long.

2. Buy the Silver wheels that I want, leaning towards square set up in 9.5 x 19 for weight considerations, I like the TSW Nurburgrings, 23 lbs. with Summer only tires, leaning towards Michelins super sports. Those will be my summer season wheels.

3. Buy a replacement set for the trashed Perillis, leaning towards Michelin all seasons, I'll use them and the Black PP wheels for our winter / rainy season here in sunny California.

When I first got my car I hated the Black PP wheels (color not design). But now it has grown onto me and I kinda like it!

Count me in.

I hated the thought of them, but they have grown on me. It helped to put black lug nuts on, as well as install fender and grille emblems to match....

I think black wheels are a generational thing.

Based on conversation with my car buddies and general observations, it seems that black wheels appeal to the under 35 crowd, while traditional wheels of the 80's - 00's appeal to the over 40 set.

Almost to a man ( or woman ) over 40 that I've talked to, the total black wheels remind them of a car that's lost it's hubcaps, and looks, well..... cheap.

I know this is generalizing, and some older folks like black wheels and visa-versa, but I think it holds true.

If I were to buy a car ( and I'm over 40 ) with black wheels, or install aftermarket black wheels, I'd prefer a look with a little contrast, like this:

Not the best picture, but you get the idea.
I agree. It is definitely a generational thing. Black = intimidation, and this is the generation of intimidation. Witness the trend to all black football uniforms. The SF 49ers colors are red and gold, yet you see black jackets with black and white SF logo. Huh?

What is the first thing you see when you look at a car? THE WHEELS. What is the first thing you see when you look at a car with black wheels? NOTHING. All the detail and depth is obscured and lost. You see a black circle.

I hate black wheels. I like the exquisite detail and quality feel that comes through with silver or even tungsten or iridium or whatever.
