Congrats!Chris, great of you to come down to help us welcome the car...and, I must say, your DIB looks the balls. Apologies for being a bit 'distant' but, honestly, I was kinda spacing out. Not only has my journey on this car been crazy...but 'in my mind's eye,' I've been longing to be in a shelby mustang since I was a teen. And when I say a shelby mustang, I mean the kind of car that Carroll really would have wanted...a '65 GT350/350R, if you will. And there have been shelby mustangs in recent years, but they haven't met that mark, in my mind. The Boss was the closest thing...but I was never a Boss / Mach 1 / Bullitt /etc fan...I wanted a shelby...with the stripes ;-)
And after the long way home (and a challenging time getting in and out of a pretty easy driveway), I got to take family members for a spin. They were all amazed. My wife liked how civilized it was and my kids liked how uncivilized it was ;-)
The best of both worlds!!!
I took no offense what so ever! It was your time! ... and your son looked just as thrilled! Thanks, I was trying to get an idea of how many R's they have made so far. Seems to be about 40. Chassis 038 arrived today as well.039. Vin was 0286.
+1 on that, wish they could take my order for one, I got 3 fords from them already, guess that isn't enough. .. Sick car man I hope to check it out one of these days. The Ford Store Morgan Hill doesn't do ADM's...for any vehicle...for any buyer.
So, no, that doesn't mean a $10K plus ADM. It means no ADM.
noted. I rarely bemoan the rain here in dry CA...but, today, I'm sort of a rain-hater ;-)Congrats! You will enjoy her immensely.
One word of caution with this weekend's rainy weather - the MPSC2's on the car do not like wet weather. They're not as bad as roadrace slicks, but you can see it from there. Drive conservatively if you take her out in the rain.
