Sorry guys, no idea how Flickr works. I added the url to the attachment box but nothing shows up.
pm'd you...

Buddy of mine picked up a camera and we took some pics a few weeks ago. First is the original image, second is one I played around with in PS.

Thoughts? Tips? Suggestions?

I like the angle and the stance of the car. You got down low. I would suggest finding a location without a gate behind the car. It is very distracting. You could remove it via PS but it would be a lot of work.

Pick up a good circular polarizing filter which you can use to cut down on the reflections coming off the car.

I used one for this photo on my car...

It did not fully eliminate the reflections but I used the filter to cut down and place the reflections where I liked them the best.

Still love the S197s. Wish I was able to keep mine and pick up this car. :(

I love this thread! Unfortunately you've made me want to try my hand at this photography business

Any advice welcome, I'm looking to get a DSLR and a couple lenses - nothing too fancy to begin with, 2 grand aussie max.

Was thinking Canon EOS 750D/760D (Rebel T6i/T6s) plus lenses

Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM Lens
Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM Standard Lens

What do you guys think of that as a starting point?

Don't rule out Sony if you're just getting into this. I will be switching very soon.
