An observation from over-the-pond (Texas)...... to most of us car enthusiasts, almost all 4-dr cars look the same regardless of design/manufacturing sites. While it is very true that there are many more Mustangs here, they are still very noticeable because of customizing, sound, overall look and, of course, the iconic status as a symbol of "freedom" (also think P51 Mustang fighters from WWII and the wild Mustang horses in America). Been that way for 50 years now. In stock form it's not supposed to be the "best" car; however, it is intended to be the best value (affordable), and with near-infinite customization, can win races (GT350R) or compete with a Veyron. Just my 2-cents worth. The Mustang will get looks as much as your mclarens, aventadors, I8's, SLRs, R8s will get, because they're not NORMAL cars, the AUdi/BMW/Merc saloons all have a common theme and are seen in their thousands on UK roads, whereas a mustang isn't. This effect is reversed in america where Mercedes, BMWs and Audi's will turn heads more than the common Mustang. It's a rarity thing over a brand thing, the Mustang brand however does hold a lot of weight in most car peoples minds and hearts if you ask me.
@vikz55 i was more saying the inferiority/superiority complex in jest![]()
