First post from a new member. Just want to say thanks, I appreciate the information. I have been looking for a 2017 gt350 most of the year, but have only recently gotten really serious. Emailing/calling dealers has been an experience. Personally, I don't have a huge issue with supply and demand driving up the pricing, but some of these dealers (CA seems to be the worst) are unreal. Good to see some perspective on this thread...here is hoping I find one soon and can join to talk more about the actual vehicle than about the frustrating process of getting one!

Thanks for keeping a shopper sane!

Either way it is still a very nice profit for a car that will not have to sit on the lot at all....
While it is a decent profit, its less than most of them are making.

Lets try a different angle I don't think has been said.

You work for WalMart. You make $8/hr because that is minimum wage. The state next to you has a minimum wage of $6.50 an hour. Your boss wants to start paying you less, why? Well because that's how it is for someone else.

Why should dealers (you the employee) make less just because someone somewhere else got a different deal (different pricing)? It's not the best analogy by far but its the only way I think some of you will understand that the market is different everywhere (higher in CA with this economy).

Elk Grove? I bought it. Best deal I could find in California....400 miles away from me.
Nice! Glad to see them making some good deals out here in the "high adm territory"

Well, he did say "I believe" to start the post, which we all know is a way of letting others to get ready to hear someone talk out of their ass.
Haha, yes and I feel a little dumb for being "triggered" at all. We should all be immune to him by now.

I should be banned for not knowing the invoice price? You are mean. Please watch your manners. What did I do to you?
No I was referring to you as a whole for what you post in every thread. As many others have stated it is all negativity and generally incorrect information if not just a skewed far left field opinion. Most of us don't want or have time to read the BS that you seem to believe is deemed important.

Yep! Glad you found your baby. I looked at it briefly when I stopped in there last week to initiate talks on my end... Bet that was the best 400 mile drive home ever? Ear to ear grin?
Don't know what kind of deal they made at Elk Grove but I have a pretty unbelievable deal here at my dealer (known for higher than typical ADM). $3k over on a tech pack. Car I ordered for myself (same but black roof).

We get it, you work for a dealer and are upset that people are continuously calling out the scummy business tactics of you and your peers.

It's called an internet chat board ... they are all the same. You just need to know who to take seriously and who not to. Otherwise, you'll be arguing with someone every day of your life ... and life is too short for that nonsense. :)

I know most of the members are not a fan of used GT350s but I saw one on carmax the other day for under $60k, not sure if tech or track with 1k miles.

Lame. He's actually very upfront and forward with everyone on here.

And he is right, California is not only a different state, but a different world compared to most of the country in terms of how things are valued. If you have never lived here and experienced it, you will never understand it. Many times some folks are so entrenched with their own believes that they lack the ability to see anything beyond their own front door.

I don't get it. Why are the dealer markups on the 2017's higher than they were on the earlier models?

Can I have that dealer's contact information, please? I want to have him configure the R for me with $40,000 in small bills in the trunk.

Because the cars are in high demand and buyers continue to pay high prices to get the cars.

Why wouldn't there be ADMs? You will still have the same dealers that will have the ADM and the dealers that sold at no ADM should still sell at no ADM. IMO

And some dealers who never charged ADM have started charging ADM, because they've seen other dealers get away with it. :tsk:

I'm not questioning that there are adm's. What I was wondering, is why a lot of dealers that sold base, track pack and tech pack cars previous to the 2017's were asking on average $5000 to $10,000 over sticker. Now that 17's started rolling in they're asking between $10,000 and $20,000.

Dodge dealers in my market have a glut of Hellcats. The high adm's seems to have subsided greatly there.
