it has an engine!
A buddy of mine thats local of this dealer told me he spoke with the sales manager at paul cerame ford that they have an avalanche gray gt350 for sale with 10k adm but he asked if they were stuck on that price. The sales manager said everything is negotiable. He then asked if he would sell it at mrsp that there is a forum full of people that would jump on that. The sales manager said to tell them to make an offer. The sales managers name is tony. Its worth exploring for anyone interested.

So I shouldn't be so shocked when a dealer emailed me today that they just got a 2017 GT 350 in Magnetic w/ white stripes for "only" $15K ADM? And "only" $10K over for this 2016? Good luck trying to negotiate an MSRP deal on that one. "Anything is possible" is an invitation to be insulted I think.

I for one am sick of playing this game with the dealers. Sure they have a right to ask whatever they want but I'm looking for something else because of all this crap for the last year or so.......Saturday, I asked a salesman to try to get me a better deal from his sales manager than the $5400K ADM (2017) I negotiated down from $7600 and he refused to take it to his manager since he "was insulted" and got into it with his manager/owner on my last offer. Needless to say I'm done with them. Salesman refusing to take an offer to his manager?:frusty:.....hard to believe but shows the arrogance in trying to purchase this car.

Anyone looking for a very late production 2016 GT350R needs to give this dealership a call. :eyebulge:

"GR496" how good is that for only ~$110,000.

Sign in the back says over 5000 new and used cars at that dealer. Not a surprise considering how they price their cars

They need to start selling the old 2016 tech packs for under MSRP. Who even buys these?

It's really simple, they don't have to do anything if they sell above or at MSRP. If they don't sell, then they lower the price until they do.

Some advice for prospective owners

Hi everyone. I've been lurking here for quite a long time and I really appreciate the information I've learned from following the forum. I thought I would try to pay it forward.

I have seen this ADM thing unfold for every "special" model mustang going back to the Bullitt. It always proceeds the same way. Prices drop once the early adopter quotient is satisfied. I believe we are there now.

I took delivery today of my Lightning Blue 2017. I paid $2k over. I rationalized it because it was exactly what I wanted. No compromise, no wait. For those of you willing to compromise or wait, I think the market is now MSRP.

A few weeks ago I spent about 6 hours on a Sunday and searched the online inventory by changing the zip codes and sorting out the cars I didn't want. I made a spreadsheet with the car and dealer info. Monday I started calling. I heard prices anywhere from 5 to 20 over. In a few cases the cars had not yet been delivered and the dealer didn't want to talk price until the car came in. There was one down south who had a race red he would sell for MSRP, but the car has yet to arrive. I was looking at 16's and 17's.

I found a dealer in TN who had one on the lot. He started at 5 over but came down to the 2 over that we agreed to. I heard some crazy reasons for the high ADM. In one case they had a 2016 DIB for 10 over. He was firm on the price because it was a "discontinued" color. My local dealer has a used 2016 race red where he wants 5 over. Within a week of agreeing on the deal I made I started getting call backs. In some cases it was the 17's that arrived. The best was the dealer with the 2016, who when I told him what I settled on told me "I would have ordered you a 2017 at MSRP."

Of the 20 or so cars on my list, at least one third were at 5k or less. Within a month very few of these cars will be selling much above MSRP. I think the 2016 track packs will be the first to go below MSRP. There are quite a few of them around and the 2017 is so much better in terms of content.

I bought a 2007 Shelby GT at MSRP the same way. You just need to put a little effort into it. There are reasonable dealers and unreasonable ones. Last I heard there was something like 3000 dealerships. This is a specialty vehicle. There are not that many people with the interest and budget flexibility to purchase this car. At this time next year the greedy dealers are going to be wishing they took an MSRP deal. Remember they have net working capital tied up in inventory. If they don't turn it in a reasonable timeframe they lose money.

My advice summarized is to do your homework and don't let your emotions get the best of you. Save it for the day you first drive your car. I told my wife today I was giddy like a little girl. I quite literally couldn't stop giggling each time I mashed the right peddle and heard that sweet sound. And the lightning blue must be seen in person. Very few pics do it justice.

I bought mine at MSRP. Long story but I did. When the GM left the room to get something he left his computer on the screen that shows what they make at MSRP. It was close to5k. So he made some money on the deal. Plus, let's not forget they make Money on the "back end" when they sell the paper to the bank. So in the end they made good money anyway at
MSRP.
