Sounds like people need to contact Cars.com and let them know dealers are false advertising and misleading buyers on their website.

Just left Town East Ford in Dallas. They had an R with electronics package and are asking $30k over. It's black with grey stripe and blue border. Just arrived yesterday, so they won't budge, even though 2017 models can be had for less. Go figure.

MSRP offerings. Found mine in the boonies basically(member here gave the lead).

If youre willing to pay $2k over, just consider that applicable for shipping an MSRP car.

I am happy to ship a car home. I have bought two cars (used but nice) from St. Paul to the Boston area and your estimate is just about exactly right.

In any case, if I could find a car like I described I would pay the 2K for the shipping in a heartbeat.

All R models that have stripes have red pin stripes. Also grey stripes aren't an option.

ETA going by the VIN on their website its a shadow black with black stripes

Sorry, I stand corrected. It does have a black stripe with red border. I confused it with a different pic on my phone.

Were any of them 1LT Z51's with no options other than a manual transmission, Magnetic Selective Ride Control, and Competition Seats?

Didn't think so.

Most vettes around here are still 6-8k under msrp. Car market itself has went soft. If your doing a custom order you cant expect the smae deal as a car that has been sitting for 60-120 days. Thats obvious, but I agree with the premise of his statement. Corvettes are heavily discounted right now. Even some Z06s are going for well under MSRP.
