I paid a 7K ADM on my 2017 and I have zero regrets. Could I have held out and gotten it cheaper, prolly but it was worth it to me, this is my dream car and I wanted it ordered for a local dealer how I wanted it.

Maybe go flame at the 51% of the US population that sits on their back side all day collecting disability / welfare and unemployment.

I work my ass off and you know what, I deserve this car so I don't give a rip what any of u turkeys think.

1%er 's for the win !!!!!!

Flame suite on
Exactly why I won't pay it. At $100 an hour you will have to work 70 hours to pay your ADM. Nearly two weeks of "busting your ass" for nothing but lining someone elses pockets. At $50 on hour your at 140 hours nearly a month of work for nothing. That car is not going to make me a better man, father or business man
It is a toy. I will have one at MSRP and take my kids to disney with the ADM.

My 2 cents.

To me makes no difference if someone wants to pay it or not. I'd say though now would be the time to get a MY 16 for as close to or at MSRP, especially the base or tech packs. Dealers will have those 17's coming in that the TrackPack is the base. Be tougher to sell a 16 base or tech for same ADM as a 17 with coolers and suspension standard equipment.
Just my thoughts, now is the time to look for that deal on MY 16's

I'd never fault somebody for paying ADM. I have to sell some stock to buy a GT350, so I'm not willing to pay ADM. I have a millionaire friend who just ordered a loaded Cayman S because he wants a flat-6. IF he wanted a GT350, a $7k ADM would be like me buying a Happy Meal.

It's a fabulous car that appeals to everyone, rich included. I know I'll regret it if I can't find one at MSRP, but if I had extra, I'd pull the trigger.

Some would say Disney is a complete waste of money. You pay all that money, line the pockets of disney share holders, gain a few pounds eating rotten food, and get nothing buy a few pictures in return. The ROI is 0 from the start. A trip to the mountains or the lake or a national park would be a fraction of the cost and could be just as memorable, with better pictures to boot and wont get your kids hooked on the corporate gravy train

You could say the same thing about cable TV, eating out at all, star bucks, going to the movies, etc etc. How others spend their money on leisure activities is a very personal decision and none of anyone elses business

for nothing beyond the disney comment, i support this stance.

The willingness to pay what you have to for what you want, when you want, comes down to the capitalization of time and effort. some make 70 an hour, some make 140, some make 1400. to each their own based on their financial profile.

the more discretionary income you have, the less it matters.

paying 2K over sticker at a small dealer with a singular allocation is not crazy, as the dealer has at least a grand invested in being part of the program and additional human capital and operating expense having salesmen, techs and support staff up to speed on a specialty vehicle like a GT350.

When you factor in advertising and other dealership expenses, as a businessman, it is not crazy.

All that being said, i paid sticker for my car at a local, small dealership that treats me like bill gates when i stop by. I had previously bought 6 fords from a different local dealer who decided that profit on a shelby was worth more than a repeat buyer that had spent roughly 250K at their dealership.

guess who i will buy from from this point on?

Guess who i send friends, family, acquaintances and strangers to?

If any of you are looking for a fair deal on an SVT vehicle and are in LA or are willing to travel to the new orleans area to purchase, send me a PM. I will hook you up with the dealer.

It is also worth noting that, unsolicited, i sent the GM at the dealership a letter based on my experience with his staff. His response was to promote my salesman to a floor manager and give the service manager and parts dude bonuses.

THAT i will support.

I just passed by A Ford dealer that's literally 2 mi from my house. They want 25k over for their GT350 sitting in the showroom.

I just left grinning knowing what a rip off that is.

I think 5k or under is acceptable for the car.

I ordered at MSRP. This was 100% due to the graciousness of a 6G member, who I won't name (he's free to speak up) to avoid more requests for the same deal. The dealer only has one allocation so far, otherwise I would provide their name as they have been a pleasure to work with.

On 2016s - for sure based on many recent posts.

If you check sold listings on eBay motors for instance cars seem to be selling at $1K to $3K over MSRP in general. If you watch auctions bidding stalls pretty quickly once it hits MSRP. Track pack cars and discontinued colors are probably carrying a bit of a premium but I expect most 2016 Tech pack cars will be approaching MSRP into the summer.

Even though these are relatively rare cars I doubt dealers will want 2016s on the lot when 2017s start to land. The current inventory locator shows over 70 GT350s within 100 miles of zip 92522 (Riverside, CA - not a nice place but centrally located). If they are wise they would sell them off now at a low ADM to ensure 2017 supply remains tight. Not sure if they are thinking that far ahead.

I really appreciate the info, i have been patient for the past 6 months waiting for the 2016's to fall in price. It was outrageous when all this first started but it's starting to settle down. In a couple of weeks i can start talking to dealers because that's when i close on my house.

You don’t want to know
Don't come to the Midwest. Some dealers who were at MSRP for their 2016s are adding ADM for their 2017s.
