The Down and Dirty ADM Thread

back to back ford visits this weekend Bickford yesterday and Kirkland ford today. Showed the wife and kids the AG black OTT black roof 2015 Track pack at Kirkland. We basically laughed at the salesman asking 124k ADM but really the point of the visit was to validate color combination and whether ADM is worth one car over another based on what you want and what you can get in inventory. I really like AG but the wife makes all the money and she is writing the check for this one and to my surprise DIB was her favorite after declaring for months that Magnetic or Black was the way to go..... DIB is a pretty color with lots of definition... now if I can accept that fact that I have to turn over a my rolex to the dealer or my trade - in just to get the car??

I'm new here but have been lurking for the past 60 days. I finally received the good news and placed my order on Thursday. The dealer sent me the order form with all my options, my name, invoice and MSRP price on it. Says about 90 days until delivery. Here's the question, we never discussed price- do dealers have to tell you up front about an ADM or if I placed an order and no ADM was discussed, legally they have to sell me the car for MSRP? It's one of those things that I don't want to ask the dealer as I'd be opening the door for them to charge me more. Thoughts?

Your dealer may be the nicest and most honest guy in the world, but ...

Get the sale price in writing now on a purchase agreement, or you may be setting yourself up for disappointment. Both sides should sign it. Did you give the dealer a deposit check? If not, do so now - and make sure the dealer deposits it. If your check is not deposited, the dealer might be setting you up for whatever price he wants to set later. You have no legal standing if no money has changed hands.

It sounds like the only document you have is the DORA, which only says that the dealer has submitted the order, but does not confirm that Ford has accepted it.

Understood. But may be important for those calling to know what the starting point is/was. A 'non-negotiable' 10K ADM last fall as a failed transaction price might indicate that if it is now available it means they went through their waiting list and helps the next guy/gal that walks in with a little stronger negotiating position to possibly get MSRP. BTW you listed these in the ADM thread. Furthermore not clear that any of these are available. So you may have just opened this up for someone to get screwed out of a deal they already had by flooding these dealers with phone calls thinking they can up the price over what was previously negotiated as has happened a few times. I doubt very much that no one has called these dealers before. So previous info on ADMs is I think important to know before doing this. We certainly may differ on that opinion.

I have no way to know what the original asking prices were at each dealer, nor do I have the time to contact them all on your behalf to get current asking prices.

Understand your position. Don't see anything in my last post that suggested you do anything on my behalf. Already have MSRP 2016 or 2017 as I choose. Was interested in informing others.

LoL ... really? Just call the dealership and get the info. The dealerships will lie on their webpage, so only way to get the weaselly truth is to call them and ask what the ADM is.
