Message at the top of the listing says:

"This listing was ended by the seller because there was an error in the listing."
Lol! Ya the error was the seller's...believing he would get more money. Hopefully the guy gets banned from eBay.

That's odd. Supposedly you can't end an auction early if the reserve has been met, which it was in this case.
Anyone can end the auction early and did he not state that the car was for sale locally and could end the auction at any time based on his comments in the ad?

Am I missing something here?

That will only happen if someone files a complaint with eBay.
Am I looking at the wrong car and if not I suggest that we should have no complaints with him or eBay?

There was a base model I was watching on eBay that hit 60,100 this morning. White with blue stripes and already titled with an owner. Was being sold with 13 miles. That guy ended the auction today 36 hours before it ended. Guess he got a good offer. But didn't think the base model would be getting to such a high amount. That's $10k over which is very good.

I thought the car was being sold no reserve. No reserve means car (or whatever is being sold) goes to high bidder. Basically you can do whatever you want on eBay cause what's gonna happen? But the rules, published by Ebay say that once reserve is met item is sold. Otherwise why would they have reserve? People would just offer everything no reserve then yank it 5 minutes before the end of the auction if they didn't get enough money.

You don’t want to know

Sorry, I wasn't saying it should happen - just that there's only one way to get someone banned if you believe eBay's policies have been violated.

I guess I am confused by your comments and maybe I am looking at a different car than you?

You mention a no reserve auction and then mention once the reserve is met and then talk about the item being sold?

Based on your comments you and I may be looking at different vehicles and obviously are not on the same page therefore suggest that we just move on.

This is the one that was pulled by the seller. Note what he said in his description statement (in red below).

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2016-Ford-Mustang-/111878820704?forcerrptr=true&hash=item1a0c7f5360%3Ag%3A-lYAAOSwoydWnUYl&item=111878820704&nma=true&si=WaUZ7SvoycN5V5c16EqqgIOHqF4%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

"2016 GT 350, only 13.3 miles, In as NEW condition, still retains all factory markings and Plastic, Not much more to say, the Front Splitter is also still in the trunk never installed. Options include car cover over the roof stripes, I ordered the car back in October, and am now looking at another Classic car purchase, Car is for sale Locally, the bank does hold the title. If you would like to make an offer please send me a Message, I can assure you it is by far LESS than any listed on e-bay. I reserve the right to end auction at any time. There is also a $500 deposit due within 24 hours at end of auction."

Yea I saw that and it's was for sale locally. Must have received a really good offer. Saved himself a bunch of fees too.

I live in Oregon, called 35-40 dealers last week within 1500 miles of me. Nothing I found was available at msrp, ended up with a gt350 ow no stripes, tech package, for 6,400 over sticker. Picked it up Friday. Best price I found was in Oklahoma, all black no stripe, tech pkg for 5k over but it would have cost me 1400 to have it shipped, think it sold on Saturday.

The fees are actually not bad. To sell the car on eBay it cost like $75. Now when your receive some money through PayPal that's another small fee but again, not a lot.

It's like 3.5% through PayPal. They rip. Idk if it's different with a car purchase

I would not be using paypal to make a 60k+ purchase =), nor would I allow it if I was a seller.
