Glocks are uglier than the offspring of Rosie O'Donnel and Lyle Lovett.

But they shoot amazing lol

i never really "enjoyed" shooting my stock g19 much, grip isnt my favorite, sights are pretty garbage, trigger is definitely not my favorite and its a gen 4 with some pretty erratic ejecting patterns.

still though, id trust it to save my life if it had to.

Glocks are fun until you shoot/own a 1911. I only bring it out to the range now if my girlfriend goes, since the 1911s are too heavy for her and she can handle the Glock pretty well.

One of my son's guns is a Glock. I'm not sure which model, only that it's a .40, and for what little it's worth I can shoot that one better than I can his Springfield XD in 9mm.

I'm just getting started for myself.

I've got the paperwork in front of me for a NJ Firearms Identification Card, without being all that sure what I'll use it to buy except that since my son has the handguns covered I'll start with a long gun or two. It's NJ, and I've got a card as a family member to a reasonably local range, which is where my shooting would go at least for the foreseeable future.

I don't want to get eaten alive with ammo costs either - I'm 68 and retired with a mild track day habit to support as well - so I'm not looking at anything that shoots anything more expensive than 9mm or .40. Which I think narrows it down to .22LR, .223/5.56, and 7.62, and I have nothing against any of those rounds. At least not yet.

I do kind of like the Henry lever-actions (my uncle had a 30-30 back in the day), shot a black gun in 10/22 that was OK, but I liked the AK that another shooter once let me take a couple of shots with better . . . as much for the appearance as for the heavier caliber. Guess I just like the older rifles with their wood stocks, or at least something that looks like that.

Check this website out for ammo http://www.gunbot.net

I got to the range all of the time, so I'm always looking for cheap ammo.

I reload what I shoot at the range.

The "stash" stays at its high level at all times.

Reloading cuts a lot of costs with range time.

Sending the action over to the gunsmith to get cut, crowned, and threaded for a Accuracy muzzle brake and the entire action and rings cerakoted in dull black.

Nice builds. What is your SPS chambered in?

I am doing a 80% lightweight 10" AR-10 build next. Nothing like .308 for a CQB gun. :D:D:D

.308 also. Now with the magpul stock and magpul AICS mags, both of these guns can share mags

Yeah I am .300 WSM. Had to file some of the feed lips on the magazine but it feeds just fine now. .300 WSM are some fat cartridges!

Only can get 4 rounds in. Gonna buy a 7 round AICS mag and see how that works.
