Just traded my LAR-08 20" AR platform for a Remington Model 700 .300 WSM plus a lot of cash my way.

Can't wait to trick it out. Keeping it super light though.

180 days from the 4th of Jan 2016. The ATF has to receive everything before that date.

you are correct. mid July is when we'll start enforcing the new 41F. No more CLEO but everyone in the trust will need a background check now.

I don't like it but it's one time as long as you make a purchase every 24 months after the first submission and you haven't amended your trust in any way. Just send a certification stating that and you're good to go for all future purchases unless you exceed the 24 month rule.

And it's more than a background check. Photos and fingerprints must be submitted.

At least for everyone else they don't have to deal with CLEO now.

That would be nice; I read it as needing to send a photo and fingerprints if more than 24 months has passed since the last time you submitted them.

I'm still trying to set up a meeting with my lawyer to go over the particulars but until July I am going to buy buy buy.

Ask your attorney. I haven't talked to mine yet either, but all the attorneys over on arfcom are reading it as long as you continue to buy and don't amend your trust and hold yourself liable by submitting a certification stating that, your good to go.

I am going to have my attorney draft up a certification stating that now because I know I won't be changing my trust in any way.
