Testing my new headers

Air was real bad, DA 2075 .. I couldn't get it to hook at anything over 3500 .. Never got better than a 1.74 60 foot ...Best pass of the night wasn't good at all 7.85 @ 89 ....I have been 7.64 @ 91 without the headers ..My 7.64 was in a of 1200 DA .. That 2075 DA might be some of the problem ..I also added a taller drag radial and that killed the power coming out of the hole ..I only have 3.31s and that taller tire hurt me ..

I'm going have to put this Car on the dyno and see what the tune and HP looks like ... It sure feels like I lost some HP with the headers and new tune for the headers .. The car feels like it has no pull up top .. The Car felt better with the stock headers and had more MPH .. :shrug: Other than making a lot more sound I think the headers did nothing for me ..I'm pretty unhappy with the outcome so far ...:frusty:

It's also Showtime.... I've only been there once, but couldn't get below a 2.1 compared to 1.8/9 @ Bradenton and OSW all the time. I assume your tune was updated for the headers?

I had the same exact issue. Bama corrected it quickly, just let them know. Once it was corrected, I noticed a HUGE gain in power.

Yes the tune was updated for the headers ... I wonder if I uploaded it correctly ? I didn't remove old tune ( turn the car back to stock ) before I loaded the new tune ..I don't want to be to quick to blame the tuner ..

I know the air was not great but this Car just felt lazy from 4k to 7k ..MPH was down 3 MPH .. That is a lot ..

and DA is everything ive seen 11.8 sec cars run 12.2-12.3 just because of DA

I didn't turn it back to stock , I just loaded the tune ... I was unsure if I had to do that .. I looked on Bama site and didn't see anything that said to do that first ...So I screwed up ??

im going to try my best to have all of my parts in and installed by June 4th. if I do, bring the car to Bradenton and well really test her out with the new headers.

Step 1. Go revert her to stock.

Step 2. Drive her a little.

Step 3. Install new tune.

Step 4. Drive her a little. shut her off then drive again.

Will it even run with the stock tune with the mods I have ? JLT intake and Headers ?
