Also, make it individual, make every entrance theatrical, be Steve McQueen for a minute or two, basque (sp?) in the moment, you'll be a long time dead, the end

Ahem, I would quite look forward to some pics of a young lady wearing a basque in your mustang; you could always bask in the appreciation of some of the forum members...

Apologies for the slightly racy comment; I hope I haven't offended anyone.

I would love to go to flat rock on the day my car is getting made just to watch each assembly process.Mind you, I might hold up production checking everything for alignment.

It's a heart only decision for the Mustang, prob most people getting one of the first batch have always wanted one and couldn't wait to throw the money at Ford.
Yes there are better driving cars out there but this is a GT car not a roller skate and gentleman and ladies of a certain age like to waft along in a pleasing manner knowing that if they had to drop the hammer there is enough 'see you later' juice under the pedal to get rid of those troublesome oiks that want to take you on. However, I have always found it is much classier to just ignore them as they know in their heart of hearts that you can take them but not getting egged into it annoys them even more
On the BMW thing, up my way, they are prodominately driven by tubes who ignore other road users and think they can go anywhere at anytime as most of their cars seem to come without any mirrors or indicators. Tried a few, driven a number but can't justify the expense or the ridicule of being one of the eejits driving one - 5 series estate prob the closest I came once but opted for a 3.0 Subaru Outback - around ÂŁ7k less with more driver satisfaction and put a smile on my face everyday - same as the Mustang is going to do!!!

I've never wanted a Mustang or any American car before. I want this one because it genuinely looks super-stylish (previous Mustangs I've found a bit 'slab-sided' and not particularly attractive) and is genuinely different to anything else out there.

I'm most certainly not wanting it to 'waft' anywhere .... I wanted the full-on, full-fat, muscle-car experience - noise, power and attitude! Which is why a) I was a bit disappointed that the options list doesn't really include anything to spec your car in that style; and b) I'm really hoping the GT350R will be available in the UK at some point - that's the Mustang I really want. Goes like stink, looks exactly right, gorgeous flat-plane sound (beats cross-plane hands-down as far as I'm concerned) and (hopefully) all at a reasonable price. Ticks all the boxes!

Prodominately Steve - not everyone :) one of my best friends drives one so I don't tar all BMW drivers until I see how they drive their car on the road. The fact you are getting a Mustang clearly shows you are not one of them:D
