I've done NASA and Track Guys but still not Chin. Maybe I'll do an event this year. I've only been to Sebring, my home track (2 hours away)Hi Scott, I'll look out for you. We can compare impressions of the car. And for those of you on this forum who are interested in tracking your Mustangs, Chin Motorsports offers DE track days at a bunch of tracks around the country. I've been participating with their events for several years, and can highly recommend them.
Wow really? The B7 RS4 is naturally aspirated so I wouldn't expect that. Do you know why? Lack of robust cooling? That's still a very nice car! I hope the GT350 doesn't experience the loss of power on the track due to heat soak, lap after lap.Probably the thing I'm most curious about is heat soak and if the AITs result in power loss. I have an Audi RS4 right now. It spins to 8k and when it's cool out, it's very peppy. When it gets hot out, it feels like someone stole 100hp.
The engine bay gets pretty hot on the RS4. I think it's inherent to high compression engines. If the air intake charge temp is hot, they pull timing for safety. Understandable but I must admit, it's extra annoying. In the evening, it runs great but during the day...it's still quick but definitely feels neutered.Wow really? Thanks for the offer Mark! Chateau Elan is like my second home (so they give me a killer rate), and plan on getting down there Monday to do some spectating/photography of the eventYou are welcome to stay at my place. I live in downtown Orlando. Save you a hotel bill and only 2 hour drive down to Sebring Tuesday morning.
