Hopefully I will be there when mine comes off the truck also. Check everything out, I agree last new mustang in 2001 Ford even had a check list for delivery. I still have it!

Also I put in written form for the dealership to not stick their name on the car and to leave the front license plate off.

in RI a front plate is required

They are referring to not mounting the factory bracket that requires holes drilled. There are companies that make brackets that are legal but hide out of the way and you are not stuck with the ugly front plate bracket.

There are aftermarket front plate holders that can be hidden and cause no holes on the front of the car. most people here are requiring dealers not to put front plates on and ordering this for when their car comes.

Anyone have any preferences or past good experiences with a specific brand or type of these kind of brackets?

The only reason they do it, is because they get away with it.

It's free advertising for the dealership since most people won't bother to remove them.

Best advice I can anyone. Tell them to not touch ANYTHING. Take it out of transport mode and park it. Do everything yourself. Drive the salesman to the gas station and gas it yourself. ZIP, ZERO, NADA. If you care about your car like it do, You'll heed my words.

I like the motorized one that I got from American Muscle it comes with 2 remotes. It installs underneath the front bumper and flips down or up . There's a video of it on their site. I have it on my 2014

This is how I want it, and my dealer knows it, "hands off"!
Somebody correct me if I am wrong but I think dealers have to to a pre delivery inspection for CYA/legal/liability purposes.

Yeah, I don't really care about any of this stuff. I don't get hung up on foolishness like self adhesive 3/4" by 2" emblems, the dealer doing their due diligence to prep the car. My hope is the tech that gets to prep my car hammers on it a little and manages a smile that makes his shitty day a little bit brighter. I don't worry about things that are out of my control. I'll ask that they don't install a front plate bracket and don't put shitty gas in it.

I want it PDi'd like any other car. It will get treated as such, it's just a material thing. My priorities are different to what I get hung up on.

If you worked for a dealership like I do, you'd prolly be singing a different tune. But there is definitely truth in your statement. Its all in how you like your property treated.

Guys be careful with no touch agreements. It SHOULD be fine however dealers do ANYTHING to void your warranty. I've seen it a lot as a shop owner. I would let them do there check list. The liecense plate and gas that's. No big deal say no! Lol

I used to and I took care of the guys that cleaned my cars ;) The owner always had me make his deliveries because he knew I checked and my cars were always better prepped. Funny how money is understood in every language.
