I noticed this recently, the door chime and reverse beep are playing through the system/instrument cluster speaker and not the audio system like they used to so they sound different. The only thing I did was plug back in the telematics fuse since I'm going in to service soon. May have had something to do with it, but I don't know where to check first. Everything else works fine and I'm on the latest version of sync software. Before this it already stopped lowering music volume when I was backing up like it used to.

Problem solved, apparently the battery was just low from the cold snap and sitting for a week. After a longer drive, all is well.

If anyone else runs into this, apparently the car normally boots up the infotainment/audio system when you open the door, but if the battery voltage is below a threshold it will not until you have started the car. If this happens, the car uses the instrument cluster speaker as a fail safe mode and will not switch back over, even once the audio system has booted.
