Hi Mustang6g,
I was referred here by Reddit. I own a 2020 Mustang GT with the Sync3 B&O stereo. During my lunch I like to watch movies on my phone (we don't have a lounge or anything, so my car is the comfortable place I have) with the audio over the stereo. In my Nissan xTerra this has never been an issue, but in my mustang the audio is off by a few seconds. I tested my wife's iphone and it's the same there, I even tried the connecting via USB, still doesn't work well. I have purchased the Naviks 3.5mm kit, which thankfully addressed it, but as Samsung decided it's too difficult to install 3.5mm in their new phones I've had to use a dongle which has been very unreliable.

So I'm hoping you might have some ideas on how I can actually fix this, it's extremely frustrating not being able to just use Bluetooth.

Thanks!

Ok so after discussing with some friends who are far smarter than I am, we tinkered with 2x of my android phones (Samsung Galaxy z fold3, Samsung Galaxy S9) and I was able to get the delay almost unperceptively low. It's not perfect, but it's WAY better.

Steps:
1) Place phone in developer mode
2) in developer menu change bluetooth AVRCP from 1.5 (default) to 1.3

This got the lag from 5+ seconds to about 1 second
2a) if possible try gabeldorsch mode, this seemed to help a little more but it may have just been placebo)
3) plug the phone into the native USB port, and enable android auto.
4) complete android auto setup, then immediately leave it and go back to the regular ford screen and ensure audio source is set to Bluetooth
5) play media

Im not really clear on how/why this helped but it's SOOOOO much better.

I hope this helps others who have been having the same issues!
